The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) aspirants who were demanding special CBI probe under the surveillance of Supreme Court in the recently held examination in Delhi have got a huge boost when the Delhi High Court approved their petition and notified SSC and Government of India (GOI) and sought reply by 24, July 2018.
A group of 44 aspirants have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court recently seeking re investigation, transfer of investigation and appointment of an enquiry commission headed by a retired Supreme Court or a High Court judge in connection to the repeated commission of the offences pertaining to cheating and various other offences in the SSC scam.
In the petition, the petitioner argued, the reason this syndicate is still operating successfully is that the person involved from the department (Officials of the SSC) have never either implicated or arrested despite the admission of the SSC Chairman Ashim Khurana to the media.
Veteran Congress leader and SC lawyer, Salman Khurshid is fighting their case. While talking to the media, he said, “While hearing the petition, the Delhi HC has notified SSC, CBI and GOI and sought their reply in this regard.”
“In the petition, we have demanded, investigation of all the scams and FIRs filed against SSC officials for their involvement in paper leak or scam since 2013 by either a retired Supreme Court judge or High Court judge.“
