Many aspirants ask a specific question, “What is the salary of the IBPS PO after 7th Pay Commission?”
First of all you all need to know that the salary of bank employees is not revised by 7th Pay Commission. In the public sector, it is revised on the basis of bipartite settlement. The settlement takes place between Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU). IBA is representing bank managements while UFBU is representing officers, employees, and staff organizations.
IBPS PO Salary:
Salary of a Probationary Officer in most of the public sector banks is almost the same; however, it may vary from city to city. The revised basic IBPS PO salary structure (as per 10th Bipartite settlement) is rupees 23700 – (980 x 7) – 30560 – (1145 x 2) – 32850 – (1310 x 7) – 42020.
What is the meaning of it (23700 – (980 x 7) – 30560 – (1145 x 2) – 32850 – (1310 x 7) – 42020.
)?
It means that the basic salary of IBPS PO will be 23700 rupees and there will increment of 980 rupees every year for next 7 years.
After 7 years basic salary will be Rs 30,560 (23700+980*7). And there will be an increment of 1145 rupees every year for next 2 years.
After 7+2 years basic salary will be Rs 32,850 (30,560+1145*2). And there will be an increment of 1310 rupees every year for next 7 years.
This is basic pay of an IBPS PO. Besides the basic pay, an IBPS Bank PO is also entitled to receive following Allowances:
House Rent Allowance (HRA): It varies according to area of posting. It can be 9.0% or 8.0% or 7.0% of the basic salary depending upon type of cities (i.e., metro cities, big cities, rural area or other locations).
Dearness Allowance (DA): Dearness Allowance (DA) is given to the employees as a percentage of the basic salary (In July 2019, it was around 64.5% of the basic salary). This is revised in every three months based on the All India Consumer Price Index Data published by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation.
The Bank unions are determined to make it a monthly revision in the impending wage settlement.
City Compensatory allowance: Based on the type of city (i.e., metro cities, big cities, rural area or other locations). It may be 0%, 3% or 4%.
Some other perks of an IBPS Probationary Officer are Traveling Allowance, Newspaper Reimbursement, Telephone allowance, Medical Aid, Benefits under New Pension Scheme etc. If we sum up then the salary may be 45,000+ rupees.
Promotion Policy of an IBPS PO
Most of the public sector banks follow same guidelines issued by the Ministry of Finance, regarding promotion policy matters. The public sector banks follow two channels in case of promotion i.e. the merit channel and the normal channel.
The salary of Officer JMGS I (Junior Management Grade Scale 1) or probationary officers in banks ranges from Rs. 23700 to Rs. 42020 (Basic).
For other Scale officers:
MMGS II (Middle Management Grade Scale II):
The basic salary ranges from 31705 to 45950.
MMGS II (Middle Management Grade Scale III):
The basic salary ranges from 42020 to 51490.
SMGS IV (Senior Management Grade Scale IV):

आईबीपीएस पीओ की पदोन्नति नीति
प्रचार नीति के मामलों के बारे में, सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के अधिकांश बैंक वित्त मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी किए गए दिशानिर्देशों का पालन करते हैं। सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंक प्रचार के मामले में दो चैनलों का अनुसरण करते हैं यानी मेरिट चैनल और सामान्य चैनल।
अधिकारी JMGS I (जूनियर मैनेजमेंट ग्रेड स्केल 1) या बैंकों में परिवीक्षाधीन अधिकारियों का वेतन रुपये से लेकर 23700 से रु 42020 (बेसिक)।

मूल वेतन 31705 से 45950 रु तक है।
