Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 rescheduled to year 2021
The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 have been postponed by one year and will be held from 23 July to 8 August, 2021. The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 were earlier scheduled to be held from 24 July to 9 August 2020. The decision to postpone the 32nd edition of the tournament was taken by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) along with the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Government of Japan. The decision has been taken by the IOC amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
ADB to invest 100 million USD in India’s infrastructure sector
Asian Development Bank (ADB) will invest 100 million US Dollars in India’s infrastructure sector through the government-promoted National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) of India Fund of Funds (FoF). NIIF is India’s first sovereign wealth fund that was set up by the Government of India in February 2015.
ADB’s investment into the NIIF platform, the FoF has now secured $700 million in commitments. ADB will now join the Government of India (GOI) and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) as an investor in the Fund.
IMF declares that World is now in “Recession”
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced that the world has clearly entered a recession due to the coronavirus pandemic. It has emphasized that the current recession is even worse than that of 2009. The statements about the world economy were made after the meeting of governing body of the IMF, the International Monetary and Financial Committee.
The International Monetary Fund has also projected a recovery in the next financial year i.e. 2021. The recovery from the recession will be possible if the international community contains the virus everywhere successfully and prevent the liquidity problems from becoming a solvency issue.
Rajasthan Police launches a mobile app “RajCop citizens app”
Rajasthan police have launched a mobile app “RajCop citizens app” to enable individuals and company employees in the state take permission for venturing out in necessary conditions.
Rajasthan Police start giving permit on the app for movement during the lockdown. This app will help lawabiding citizens to go out of their home in case of emergency or essential services during the lockdown with a valid permit. The developer of the app Data Ingenious GLobal Limited to address the immediate need of the people during the lockdown and its team is working from home to bring changes that will be asked by the government.
IIT Bombay develops mobile app ‘CORONTINE’
A team at IIT Bombay has developed a mobile app named ‘CORONTINE’. The ‘CORONTINE’ app aims to help the authorities in tracking the asymptomatic carriers and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
The mobile app ‘CORONTINE’ would be installed on the mobile of asymptomatic carriers (AC) by an authorized agency (AA). The app will share the GPS coordinates of the mobiles on the regular intervals with a server under the supervision of authorized agency. The mobile app will auto detect the movement of user if the user leaves a specified quarantined zone marked by a geo-fence and will generate alerts via sms or email following which the authorities can take necessary steps.
Jharkhand govt launches PRAGYAAM app to issue e-passes
The Jharkhand Government has launched a mobile app PRAGYAAM to issue e-passes. The app was launched by the State Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The app aims to issue e-passes to everyone associated with the delivery of essential services during the nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Jharkhand District Transport Officers have been given authority to issue e-passes to vehicles through online mode after verification of the documents uploaded through the app. These passes will be issued to those involved in the regular supply services, medical, banking and other necessary services. Officials can also verify the status of the e-passes on the app and other details, including mobile number and identity card of the person engaged in such duties to curb the chances of fake epasses.
DRDO develops casualty evacuation bags
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has designed a casualty evacuation bag to transport or isolate persons infected with COVID-19. The bag is water and air-proof and treated to deal with biological agents. DRDO will be procuring an initial lot of 500 such bags. DRDO’s Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL), which carries out research in aero-medical engineering and life support equipment and Nuclear Chemical and Biological (NBC) protection systems, has developed this bag.
MSDE prepares NSTIs as quarantine centres for COVID-19
All National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) have been readied by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) as quarantine centres to fight the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). MSDE has taken this step in order to align its efforts with the central government’s efforts against the pandemic which has led to a nationwide lockdown for 3 weeks to encourage social distancing among people.

एडीबी भारत के बुनियादी ढांचे के क्षेत्र में 100 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर का निवेश करेगा
एशियाई विकास बैंक (ADB) भारत के फंड ऑफ फंड्स (FoF) के सरकार द्वारा प्रवर्तित राष्ट्रीय निवेश और अवसंरचना कोष (NIIF) के माध्यम से भारत के अवसंरचना क्षेत्र में 100 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर का निवेश करेगा। NIIF भारत का पहला संप्रभु धन कोष है जिसे फरवरी 2015 में भारत सरकार द्वारा स्थापित किया गया था।
एनआईआईएफ के मंच में एडीबी के निवेश ने, एफएएफ ने अब प्रतिबद्धताओं में $ 700 मिलियन सुरक्षित कर लिया है। एडीबी अब फंड में निवेशक के रूप में भारत सरकार (GoI) और एशियन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंक (एआईआईबी) के साथ शामिल होगा।
आईएमएफ ने घोषणा की कि दुनिया अब “मंदी” में है
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (आईएमएफ) ने घोषणा की है कि कोरोनोवायरस महामारी के कारण दुनिया स्पष्ट रूप से मंदी में प्रवेश कर चुकी है। इसने इस बात पर जोर दिया है कि मौजूदा मंदी 2009 की तुलना में भी खराब है। विश्व अर्थव्यवस्था के बारे में बयान आईएमएफ की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संस्था, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा और वित्तीय समिति की बैठक के बाद किए गए थे।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष ने अगले वित्तीय वर्ष यानी 2021 में एक रिकवरी का भी अनुमान लगाया है। मंदी से उबरना संभव होगा यदि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुदाय में हर जगह सफलतापूर्वक वायरस हो और लिक्विडिटी की समस्याओं को हल करने का मुद्दा न बने।
राजस्थान पुलिस ने एक मोबाइल ऐप “राजकॉप नागरिक ऐप” लॉन्च किया
राजस्थान पुलिस ने राज्य में व्यक्तियों और कंपनी के कर्मचारियों को आवश्यक परिस्थितियों में बाहर निकालने की अनुमति देने के लिए एक मोबाइल ऐप “राजकॉप नागरिक ऐप” लॉन्च किया है।
राजस्थान पुलिस तालाबंदी के दौरान आंदोलन के लिए ऐप पर परमिट देना शुरू कर देती है। यह ऐप वैध परमिट के साथ लॉकडाउन के दौरान आपातकालीन या आवश्यक सेवाओं के मामले में नागरिकों को उनके घर से बाहर जाने में मदद करेगा। ऐप इनजीनियस ग्लोबल लिमिटेड के डेवलपर लॉकडाउन के दौरान लोगों की तत्काल आवश्यकता को संबोधित करने के लिए और इसकी टीम घर-घर जाकर काम कर रही है ताकि सरकार द्वारा पूछे जाने वाले बदलावों को लाया जा सके।
आईआईटी बॉम्बे ने ‘CORONTINE’ विकसित किया मोबाइल ऐप
IIT बॉम्बे की एक टीम ने एक मोबाइल ऐप विकसित किया है जिसका नाम ‘CORONTINE’ है। ‘CORONTINE’ ऐप का उद्देश्य अधिकारियों को स्पर्शोन्मुख वाहक पर नज़र रखने और COVID-19 रोग के प्रसार को रोकने में मदद करना है।
एक अधिकृत एजेंसी (AA) द्वारा एसिम्प्टोमेटिक कैरियर्स (AC) के मोबाइल पर mobile CORONTINE ’मोबाइल ऐप इंस्टॉल किया जाएगा। एप्लिकेशन अधिकृत एजेंसी की देखरेख में एक सर्वर के साथ नियमित अंतराल पर मोबाइलों के जीपीएस निर्देशांक साझा करेगा। यदि उपयोगकर्ता भू-बाड़ द्वारा चिह्नित एक निर्दिष्ट संगोष्ठ क्षेत्र छोड़ता है और मोबाइल एसएमएस या ईमेल के माध्यम से अलर्ट उत्पन्न करेगा जिसके बाद अधिकारी आवश्यक कदम उठा सकते हैं, तो मोबाइल ऐप उपयोगकर्ता के आंदोलन का पता लगाएगा।
झारखंड सरकार ने ई-पास जारी करने के लिए PRAGYAAM ऐप लॉन्च किया
झारखंड सरकार ने ई-पास जारी करने के लिए एक मोबाइल ऐप PRAGYAAM लॉन्च किया है। ऐप को राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री हेमंत सोरेन ने लॉन्च किया था। एप्लिकेशन का उद्देश्य COVID-19 के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए देशव्यापी लॉकडाउन के दौरान आवश्यक सेवाओं के वितरण से जुड़े सभी लोगों को ई-पास जारी करना है।
एप के माध्यम से अपलोड किए गए दस्तावेजों के सत्यापन के बाद झारखंड जिला परिवहन अधिकारियों को वाहनों को ई-पास ऑनलाइन मोड के माध्यम से जारी करने का अधिकार दिया गया है। ये पास नियमित आपूर्ति सेवाओं, चिकित्सा, बैंकिंग और अन्य आवश्यक सेवाओं में शामिल लोगों को जारी किए जाएंगे। अधिकारी ऐप पर ई-पास की स्थिति और अन्य विवरणों को भी सत्यापित कर सकते हैं, जिसमें फर्जी प्रकरणों की संभावना को रोकने के लिए ऐसे कर्तव्यों में लगे व्यक्ति का मोबाइल नंबर और पहचान पत्र शामिल है।
DRDO ने कैजुअल्टी निकासी बैग विकसित किया
डिफेंस रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट ऑर्गनाइजेशन (DRDO) ने COVID -19 से संक्रमित व्यक्तियों को परिवहन या अलग करने के लिए एक आकस्मिक निकासी बैग डिजाइन किया है। बैग पानी और हवा प्रूफ़ है और जैविक एजेंटों से निपटने के लिए सक्षम है। डीआरडीओ इस तरह के 500 बैग खरीदेगा। डीआरडीओ की डिफेंस बायोइंजीनियरिंग एंड इलेक्ट्रोमेडिकल लेबोरेटरी (डीईबीईएल), जो एयरो-मेडिकल इंजीनियरिंग और लाइफ सपोर्ट इक्विपमेंट और न्यूक्लियर केमिकल एंड बायोलॉजिकल (एनबीसी) प्रोटेक्शन सिस्टम में शोध करती है, ने इस बैग को विकसित किया है।
MSDE ने COVID-19 के लिए संगरोध (क्वारंटाइन) केंद्र के रूप में NSTI तैयार किया
सभी राष्ट्रीय कौशल प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों (NSTI) को कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता मंत्रालय (MSDE) ने नॉवेल कोरोनावायरस (COVID-19) के प्रसार से लड़ने के लिए संगरोध केंद्रों के रूप में तैयार करने का निर्णय लिया है। MSDE ने केंद्र सरकार के महामारी के खिलाफ अपने प्रयासों को संरेखित करने के लिए यह कदम उठाया है, जिसके कारण लोगों में सामाजिक दूरी (सोशल डिस्टन्सिंग) को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए 3 सप्ताह के लिए देशव्यापी तालाबंदी (लॉक डाउन) की गई है।
