  1. सरकार छोटी ने बचत योजनाओं पर ब्याज दर में कटौती की

भारत सरकार ने 2019-20 वित्तीय वर्ष की जुलाई-सितंबर तिमाही के लिए छोटी बचत योजनाओं के लिए ब्याज दरों में 10 आधार अंकों की कमी की है।

कम ब्याज दर लाने वाली कुछ योजनाएं किसान विकास पत्र (7.6%), सार्वजनिक भविष्य निधि (7.9%), सुकन्या समृद्धि खाता (8.4%) हैं।

 

  1. वीर ने अंडर -19 एशियाई स्क्वाश खिताब जीता

स्क्वैश में, भारत के वीर चोटानी ने हमवतन यश फड़ते को हराकर एक स्वर्ण पदक जीता। एशियाई जूनियर चैम्पियनशिप में अंडर -19 मकाऊ, चीन में आयोजित की गई।

इस जीत के साथ, वीर. रवि दीक्षित और वेला सेंथिल कुमार के बाद एशियाई ट्रॉफी जीतने वाले तीसरे भारतीय बन गए

जब तक वीर ने यश फड़ते को 11-5, 9-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-7 से हराया, तब तक यह उतार-चढ़ाव की प्रतियोगिता थी। भारत ने एक स्वर्ण, तीन रजत और कई कांस्य पदक के साथ टूर्नामेंट का समापन किया।

 

  1. पहला रेसिलिएंट केरल कार्यक्रम

भारत सरकार, केरल सरकार और विश्व बैंक ने प्रथम रेसिलिएंट केरल कार्यक्रम के लिए 250 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। कार्यक्रम गरीब और कमजोर समूहों की संपत्ति और आजीविका की रक्षा के लिए राज्य की संस्थागत और वित्तीय क्षमता को मजबूत करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा।

नया कार्यक्रम एक हरे और रेसिलिएंट केरल के निर्माण के उद्देश्य से ‘पुनर्निर्माण केरल विकास कार्यक्रम’ का हिस्सा है।

 

  1. RBI बैंकों के लिए उत्तोल लीवरेज अनुपात (Leverage Ratio) को काम किया

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने लीवरेज अनुपात (LR) को घरेलू व्यवस्थित रूप से महत्वपूर्ण बैंकों (DSIB) के लिए 4% और अन्य बैंकों के लिए 3.5% की छूट दी। ऐसा उनके उधार गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने में मदद करने के लिए किया गया है।

कम लीवरेज अनुपात 1 अक्टूबर 2019 से शुरू होने वाली तिमाही से प्रभावी होगा।

बेसल -111 मानदंडों के तहत परिभाषित लीवरेज अनुपात, बैंक के एक्सपोजर के प्रतिशत के रूप में टियर -1 पूंजी है।

  1. Govt cuts interest rate on small savings schemes

The Government of India has reduced interest rates for small savings schemes by 10 basis points for the July-September quarter of the 201920 financial year.

Some schemes that will fetch lower interest rates are Kisan Vikas Patra (7.6%), Public Provident Fund (7.9%), Sukanya Samriddhi Account (8.4%).

 

  1. Veer wins U-19 Asian Squash title

In Squash, India won a gold as Veer Chotrani beat compatriot Yash Fadte to win the

Under-19 title at the Asian Junior Championship in Macau, China.

With this victory, Veer became the third Indian to win the Asian trophy after Ravi Dixit and

Vela Senthil kumar.

It was a contest of fluctuating fortunes until Veer held his nerve to beat Fadte 11-5, 9-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-7. India finished the tournament with one gold, three silver and as many bronze medals.

 

  1. First Resilient Kerala Program

The Government of India, the Government of Kerala and the World Bank have signed the Loan Agreement of USD 250 million for the First Resilient Kerala Program. The program will focus on strengthening the state’s institutional and financial capacity to protect the assets and livelihoods of poor and vulnerable groups.

The New Program is part of Rebuild Kerala Development Programme aimed at building a green and resilient Kerala.

 

  1. RBI relaxes leverage ratio for banks

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) relaxed the leverage ratio (LR) to 4% for Domestic Systemically Important Banks (DSIBs) and 3.5% for other banks. This has been done to help them boost their lending activities.

The reduced leverage ratio will be effective from the quarter commencing October 1, 2019.

The leverage ratio, as defined under Basel-111 norms, is Tier-1 capital as a percentage of the bank’s exposures.
