  1. India celebrates Ayushman Bharat Diwas on 30th April

Nation celebrates Ayushman Bharat Diwas on 30th April. The day aims to promote affordable medical facilities in remote areas of the country based on the Socio-Economic Caste Census database. It will also promote health and wellness and provide insurance benefits to the poor.

This day is of national importance to mark the launch of Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which is also known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). It was launched by PM Narendra Modi in the year 2018 to provide various benefits with a cover of 5 lakh rupees per family to be given per year.

  1. AIIA organises “AYURAKSHA” programme with Delhi Police

A joint programme was organised by All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), under Ministry of AYUSH, and Delhi Police, with a title AYURAKSHA “Corona Se Jung: Delhi Police Ke Sang”. This programme was organised in New Delhi to fight against the COVID-19 by undertaking the simple and time tested Ayurveda immunity boosting measures.

During the programme, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, emphasized on the role of Giloy as Vayasthapana and stated that the Ministry is planning for AYUSH medicines that would be given as add-on therapy for COVID 19 positive cases.

  1. MP govt launches ‘Jeevan Amrit Yojana’ to boost Immune system

Madhya Pradesh government has launched ‘Jeevan Amrit Yojana’ to boost the immune system of people to fight (COVID-19) disease. Under this yojana, the state government will freely distribute an ayurvedic product called ‘Trikut Churna (means three peppers)’, prepared by the AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) Department of the state in collaboration with Laghu Vanopaj Sangh, in areas with corona infection. A target has been set to distribute this packet of 50 grams to 1 crore families of the state.

  1. Thangjam Dhabali Singh conferred ‘Order of Rising Sun’ by Japan

Manipuri doctor, Thangjam Dhabali Singh conferred ‘Order of Rising Sun’ by Japan government. This award is given for him to promoting a better understanding of Japan in India and deepening ties between the two countries.

Thangjam Dhabali Singh, an allopathic doctor by profession and founder of the Manipur Tourism Forum (MTF). He had organised the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Imphal of the Second World War. Several Japanese citizens, including officials from the Embassy of Japan in India, had participated in the event.

  1. International Labour Day 2020 observed globally on 1 May

International Labour Day 2020 observed globally on 1st May every year. It is also known as International Worker’s Day and May Day. This day is observed to pay tribute to the contribution of workers across the world. It was only in the year 1891 when 1st May was announced formally to be observed as International Labour Day each year.

This is all started in 1886 when on 1st May when people in the United States of America started a strike to fix the working duration to a maximum of 8 hours per day. Soon, there was a bomb blast that took place on 4th May in Haymarket Square of Chicago in which many people died

  1. Freedom fighter & Padma Shri awardee Hema Bharali passes away

Freedom fighter and Padma Shri Gandhian Hema Bharali passed away at the age of 101. She was well known as Freedom Activist, social worker & Sarvodaya leader. She was born in Assam on 19th February 1919.

Hema Bharali participated in the relief operations during the earthquake in North Lakhimpur in 1950 and helped the people in the Assam- Arunachal Pradesh border in the Chinese aggression in 1962. She joined the Bhoodan movement launched by Vinoba Bhave in 1951 and became one of its leaders.

  1. ADB to support Maharashtra with $346 mn loan for power sector

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a USD 346 million (around Rs 2,616 crore) loan to Maharashtra state government to provide reliable power connections in rural areas of Maharashtra. The loan will support the state government’s high voltage distribution system (HVDS) program for new grid-connected rural agricultural customers in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra is the second-most populous state in India, and about half of the state’s labour force is engaged in agriculture and related activities in the rural areas. Providing efficient, reliable, and good quality power to rural agriculture customers in Maharashtra will improve agricultural productivity and efficiency in the electricity value chain

  1. Neeraj Vyas appointed as interim MD & CEO of PNB Housing

Neeraj Vyas has been appointed as the interim Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of PNB Housing Finance Ltd for 8 months. He has replaced Sanjaya Gupta who was serving as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Neeraj Vyas is a senior banking professional having more than 36 years of experience in banking. He was currently serving as the independent director in the company’s Board.

  1. देश में 30 अप्रैल को आयुष्मान भारत दिवस मनाया गया

राष्ट्र ने 30 अप्रैल को आयुष्मान भारत दिवस मनाया। दिन का उद्देश्य सामाजिक-आर्थिक जाति जनगणना डेटाबेस के आधार पर देश के दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों में सस्ती चिकित्सा सुविधाओं को बढ़ावा देना है। यह स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण को भी बढ़ावा देगा और गरीबों को बीमा लाभ प्रदान करेगा।

आयुष्मान भारत योजना के शुभारंभ को चिह्नित करने के लिए इस दिन का राष्ट्रीय महत्व है, जिसे प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना (PMJAY) के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। इसे प्रति वर्ष 5 लाख रुपये प्रति परिवार के कवर के साथ विभिन्न लाभ प्रदान करने के लिए वर्ष 2018 में पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था।

  1. AIIA ने दिल्ली पुलिस के साथ “AYURAKSHA” कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया

आयुष मंत्रालय और दिल्ली पुलिस के तहत ऑल इंडिया इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ आयुर्वेद (AIIA) द्वारा एक संयुक्त कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया था, जिसका शीर्षक आयुषा “कोरोना से जंग: दिल्ली पुलिस के संग” था। इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन नई दिल्ली में COVID-19 के खिलाफ लड़ने के लिए किया गया था जिसमें आयुर्वेद और इम्यूनिटी बूस्टिंग के सरल उपायों का परीक्षण किया गया था।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान, आयुष मंत्रालय के सचिव, वैद्य राजेश कोटेचा ने गिलोय की भूमिका पर ध्यानस्थ के रूप में जोर दिया और कहा कि मंत्रालय आयुष दवाओं के लिए योजना बना रहा है जो COVID 19 सकारात्मक मामलों में ऐड-ऑन थेरेपी के रूप में दी जाएंगी।

  1. MP सरकार ने प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली को बढ़ावा देने के लिए ‘जीवन अमृत योजना’ शुरू की

मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने लोगों की प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली (COVID-19) बीमारी से लड़ने के लिए ‘जीवन अमृत योजना’ शुरू की है। इस योजना के तहत, राज्य सरकार लगु वनोपज के सहयोग से राज्य के आयुष (आयुर्वेद, योग और प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा, यूनानी, सिद्ध और होम्योपैथी) विभाग द्वारा तैयार ‘त्रिकुट चूर्ण (मतलब तीन मिर्च)’ नामक आयुर्वेदिक उत्पाद का स्वतंत्र रूप से वितरण करेगी। संघ, कोरोना संक्रमण वाले क्षेत्रों में राज्य के 1 करोड़ परिवारों को 50 ग्राम के इस पैकेट को वितरित करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।

  1. थंगजाम धबलि सिंह ने जापान द्वारा ‘ऑर्डर ऑफ राइजिंग सन’ से सम्मानित किया

मणिपुरी डॉक्टर, थंगजाम ढबली सिंह ने जापान सरकार द्वारा ‘ऑर्डर ऑफ राइजिंग सन’ से सम्मानित किया। यह पुरस्कार उन्हें भारत में जापान की बेहतर समझ को बढ़ावा देने और दोनों देशों के बीच संबंधों को गहरा करने के लिए दिया गया है।

पेशे से एलोपैथिक डॉक्टर थंगजाम धबली सिंह मणिपुर टूरिज्म फोरम (MTF) के संस्थापक हैं। उन्होंने द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के इम्फाल के युद्ध की 70 वीं वर्षगांठ का आयोजन किया था। भारत में जापान के दूतावास के अधिकारियों सहित कई जापानी नागरिकों ने इस कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया था।

  1. अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम दिवस 2020 1 मई को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया गया

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम दिवस 2020 हर साल 1 मई को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। इसे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रमिक दिवस और मई दिवस के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। यह दिन दुनिया भर में श्रमिकों के योगदान को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए मनाया जाता है। यह केवल 1891 में था जब 1 मई को औपचारिक रूप से प्रत्येक वर्ष अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाने की घोषणा की गई थी।

यह सब 1886 में शुरू हुआ जब 1 मई को जब संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में लोगों ने काम की अवधि को अधिकतम 8 घंटे प्रति दिन तय करने के लिए हड़ताल शुरू की।

  1. स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और पद्म श्री से सम्मानित हेमा भाराली का निधन

स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और पद्म श्री गांधीवादी हेमा भारती का 101 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया। वह स्वतंत्रता कार्यकर्ता, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता और सर्वोदय नेता के रूप में प्रसिद्ध थीं। उनका जन्म 19 फरवरी 1919 को असम में हुआ था।

हेमा भाराली ने 1950 में उत्तरी लखीमपुर में भूकंप के दौरान राहत कार्यों में भाग लिया और 1962 में चीनी आक्रमण में असम-अरुणाचल प्रदेश सीमा में लोगों की मदद की। वह 1951 में विनोबा भावे द्वारा शुरू किए गए भूदान आंदोलन में शामिल हुईं और इसकी एक नेता बन गईं। ।

  1. एडीबी (ADB) महाराष्ट्र में बिजली क्षेत्र के लिए $ 346 मिलियन ऋण का देगा

एशियन डेवलपमेंट बैंक (ADB) ने महाराष्ट्र के ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में विश्वसनीय बिजली कनेक्शन प्रदान करने के लिए महाराष्ट्र राज्य सरकार को 346 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर (लगभग 2,616 करोड़ रुपये) ऋण स्वीकृत किया है। ऋण महाराष्ट्र में नए ग्रिड से जुड़े ग्रामीण कृषि ग्राहकों के लिए राज्य सरकार के उच्च वोल्टेज वितरण प्रणाली (एचवीडीएस) कार्यक्रम का समर्थन करेगा।

महाराष्ट्र भारत में दूसरा सबसे अधिक आबादी वाला राज्य है, और राज्य की श्रम शक्ति का लगभग आधा हिस्सा ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में कृषि और संबंधित गतिविधियों में लगा हुआ है। महाराष्ट्र में ग्रामीण कृषि ग्राहकों को कुशल, विश्वसनीय और अच्छी गुणवत्ता की शक्ति प्रदान करने से कृषि उत्पादकता और बिजली मूल्य श्रृंखला में दक्षता में सुधार होगा।

  1. नीरज व्यास पीएनबी हाउसिंग के अंतरिम एमडी और सीईओ के रूप में नियुक्त

नीरज व्यास को 8 महीने के लिए पीएनबी हाउसिंग फाइनेंस लिमिटेड के अंतरिम प्रबंध निदेशक और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। उन्होंने संजय गुप्ता का स्थान लिया है जो कंपनी के प्रबंध निदेशक और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी के रूप में सेवारत थे।

नीरज व्यास बैंकिंग के 36 से अधिक वर्षों के अनुभव वाले वरिष्ठ बैंकिंग पेशेवर हैं। वह वर्तमान में कंपनी के बोर्ड में स्वतंत्र निदेशक के रूप में कार्यरत थे।
