  1. केएस धतवालिया को पीआईबी का प्रधान महानिदेशक नियुक्त किया गया

वरिष्ठ भारतीय सूचना सेवा के अधिकारी, केएस धतवालिया को प्रेस सूचना ब्यूरो का प्रधान महानिदेशक नियुक्त किया गया है। वह सीतांशु की जगह लेंगे और सरकार के 28 वें प्रधान प्रवक्ता होंगे। उन्होंने सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय की विभिन्न मीडिया इकाइयों में प्रमुख पदों पर काम किया है

  1. मर्सिडीज के लुईस हैमिल्टन ने 2019 रूस एफ 1 ग्रैंड प्रिक्स जीता

फॉर्मूला वन विश्व चैंपियन मर्सिडीज के लुईस हैमिल्टन ने रूस में सोची ऑटोड्रोम रेस ट्रैक पर 2019 रूस एफ 1 ग्रांड प्रिक्स (फॉर्मूला 1 जीपी) जीता। मर्सिडीज के वाल्टेरी बोटास (फिनलैंड) और फेरारी के चार्ल्स लेक्लर (मोनाको) ने क्रमशः दूसरा और तीसरा स्थान जीता। यह जीत हैमिल्टन के करियर की 82 वीं और सीज़न की नौवीं पारी थी, जिसमें उन्होंने माइकल शूमाकर के 91 के ऑल-टाइम रिकॉर्ड से नौ को पीछे छोड़ दिया।

जापान के शीर्ष क्रम के केंटो मोमोता ने कोरिया ओपन बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट में ताइवान के नंबर दो चाउ टिएन-चेन पर जीत के साथ पुरुष एकल खिताब जीता। महिलाओं के फाइनल में, चीन की हे बिंगजियाओ ने थाईलैंड की रत्चानोक इंतानोन को हराया।

  1. फ्रेजर-प्रिस ने विश्व चैम्पियनशिप 100 मीटर स्वर्ण जीता

दोहा में आयोजित 2019 IAAF वर्ल्ड चैंपियनशिप की 100 मीटर दौड़ में जमैका के स्प्रिंट शेलि-एन फ्रेजरप्राइस ने स्वर्ण पदक जीता। यह उनका महिला श्रेणी में चौथा 100 मीटर विश्व खिताब था। उन्होंने ब्रिटेन की यूरोपीय चैंपियन दीना अशर-स्मिथ को हराया जिन्होंने रजत पदक जीता जबकि मैरी-जोसे ता लू तीसरे स्थान पर रहीं।

  1. ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक मिसाइल के लैंड-अटैक संस्करण का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया गया

भारत ने ओडिशा के बालासोर जिले के चांदीपुर तट से ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक मिसाइल के भूमि-हमले संस्करण का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया। DRDO ने परीक्षण का सफलतापूर्वक संचालन किया। 290 किमी की स्ट्राइक रेंज वाली इस मिसाइल को जमीन से और समुद्र में स्थित प्लेटफॉर्म से भी दागा जा सकता है। ब्रह्मोस डीआरडीओ और रूस के एनपीओएम के बीच एक संयुक्त उद्यम है।

  1. फेनसर भवानी देवी ने बेल्जियम में टूरनोई उपग्रह प्रतियोगिता में रजत पदक जीता

भारतीय फ़ेंसर भवानी देवी ने बेल्जियम में टूरनोई उपग्रह प्रतियोगिता में महिलाओं की कृपाण व्यक्तिगत स्पर्धा में रजत पदक जीता। वह फाइनल में अजरबैजान की अन्ना बाशता से 15-10 से हार गईं।

  1. आरबीआई ने पीएमसी बैंक के लिए जय भगवान भोरिया को प्रशासक नियुक्त किया

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (RBI) ने पंजाब और महाराष्ट्र कोऑपरेटिव बैंक लिमिटेड, मुंबई के बोर्ड को अलग कर दिया है और बोर्ड की सभी शक्तियों के साथ जय भगवान भोरिया को बैंक का प्रशासक नियुक्त किया है। जय भगवान भोरिया ने एस. वरियाम सिंह की जगह ली।

RBI ने हाल ही में PMC के जमाकर्ताओं को दी जाने वाली निकासी की राशि को 1,000 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 10,000 रुपये कर दिया है और निर्देश छह महीने की अवधि तक लागू रहेंगे।

  1. मुंबई में गांधी फिल्म महोत्सव का आयोजन किया जाना

भारत पर्यटन के सहयोग से फिल्म डिवीजन 2 से 6 अक्टूबर, 2019 तक मुंबई में एक “गांधी फिल्म महोत्सव” का आयोजन करेगा। यह फिल्म महोत्सव महात्मा गांधी की 150 वीं जयंती समारोह का एक हिस्सा है और यह गांधीजी के अहिंसा और स्वच्छ भारत के संदेश पर केंद्रित होगा।

  1. SBI ऑस्ट्रेलिया के विक्टोरिया में कार्यालय बनाने वाला पहला भारतीय बैंक बन गया

भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने अपना मेलबर्न कार्यालय खोला और ऑस्ट्रेलियाई राज्य विक्टोरिया में एक शाखा होने वाला पहला भारतीय बैंक बन गया। मेलबर्न कार्यालय विक्टोरिया और भारत के बीच बढ़ते व्यापार और निवेश संबंधों की सहायता करेगा और यह राज्य की 10 वर्ष की भारत रणनीति का परिणाम है। भारत के सबसे बड़े वाणिज्यिक बैंक द्वारा किया गया यह निवेश हमारे संपन्न वित्तीय सेवा क्षेत्र और हमारे उच्च कुशल कार्यबल के लिए एक वसीयतनामा है।

  1. NITI Aayog के स्कूल शिक्षा गुणवत्ता सूचकांक में केरल सबसे ऊपर

NITI Aayog द्वारा शुरू किए गए “स्कूल शिक्षा गुणवत्ता सूचकांक” में केरल सबसे ऊपर है। उत्तर प्रदेश को सूची में सबसे नीचे स्थान दिया गया। केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों की सूची में चंडीगढ़ सबसे ऊपर है।

स्कूल शिक्षा गुणवत्ता सूचकांक राज्यों के सर्वेक्षण के आंकड़ों, स्वयं रिपोर्ट किए गए आंकड़ों और तीसरे पक्ष के सत्यापन का उपयोग करके सीखने के परिणामों, पहुंच, इक्विटी और बुनियादी ढांचे और सुविधाओं के आधार पर राज्यों का आकलन करता है। तमिलनाडु पहुंच और इक्विटी परिणामों में सबसे अच्छा प्रदर्शन करने वाला था, जबकि कर्नाटक ने सीखने के परिणामों का नेतृत्व किया। हरियाणा में सबसे अच्छी बुनियादी सुविधाएं थीं।

Senior Indian Information Service officer, KS Dhatwalia, has been appointed as the Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau. He will succeed Sitanshu Kar and will be the 28th Principal Spokesperson of the government. He has worked in key positions in various Media Units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting

  1. Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton won 2019 Russia F1 Grand Prix

Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes won the 2019 Russia F1 Grand Prix (Formula 1 GP) at Sochi Autodrom race track in Russia. Mercedes Valtteri Bottas (Finland) and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc (Monaco) won the second and third spot respectively. The victory was the 82nd of Hamilton’s career, and ninth of the season, leaving him nine short of Michael Schumacher’s all-time record of 91.

  1. Japan’s Kento Momota wins Korea Open

Top-ranked Kento Momota of Japan clinched the men’s singles title at the Korea Open badminton tournament with a win over number two Chou Tien-Chen of Taiwan. In the women’s final, China’s He Bingjiao defeated Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand.

  1. Fraser-Pryce wins World Championship 100m gold

Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann FraserPryce won gold medal in 100m race of 2019 IAAF World Championships held in Doha. This was her 4th women’s 100 metres world title. She defeated Britain’s European champion Dina Asher-Smith who took silver medal while Marie-Josee Ta Lou finished 3rd.

  1. Land-attack version of BrahMos supersonic missile successfully test fired

India successfully test-fired a land-attack version of BrahMos supersonic missile from Chandipur coast in Odisha’s Balasore district. DRDO conducted the test-fire successfully. The missile, with a strike range of 290km, can be fired from land as well as sea-based platforms. BrahMos is a joint venture between the DRDO and the NPOM of Russia.

  1. Fencer Bhavani Devi wins silver medal at Tournoi satellite competition in Belgium

Indian fencer Bhavani Devi wins the silver medal in the women’s sabre individual event at the Tournoi satellite competition in Belgium. She lost 15-10 to Anna Bashta of Azerbaijan in the final.

  1. RBI appoints Jai Bhagwan Bhoria as administrator for PMC Bank

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has superseded the Board of Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank Limited, Mumbai and appointed Jai Bhagwan Bhoria as the bank’s administrator with all powers of the board. Jai Bhagwan Bhoria replaces S. Waryam Singh.

RBI had recently increased the amount of withdrawal allowed to the depositors of PMC from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000 and the directives will remain in force for a period of six months.

  1. Gandhi Film Festival to be organized in Mumbai

Film Division in association with India Tourism will organise a “Gandhi Film Festival” in Mumbai from 2nd to 6th October, 2019. This film festival is a part of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary celebration and will focus on Gandhiji’s message of non-violence and Swachh Bharat.

  1. SBI becomes first Indian bank to have office in Australia’s Victoria

The State Bank of India opened its Melbourne office and becoming the first Indian bank to have a branch in the Australian state of Victoria. The Melbourne office will assist the growing trade and investment relations between Victoria and India and is the outcome of the state’s 10year India Strategy. This investment by India’s largest commercial bank is a testament to our thriving financial services sector and our highly skilled workforce.

  1. Kerala tops NITI Aayog’s School Education Quality Index

Kerala has topped the “School Education Quality Index” launched by NITI Aayog. Uttar Pradesh was ranked at the bottom of the list. Chandigarh has topped the list of Union Territories.

The School Education Quality Index assesses States on the basis of learning outcomes, access, equity and infrastructure and facilities, using survey data, self reported data from States and third-party verification. Tamil Nadu was the top performer in access and equity outcomes, while Karnataka led in learning outcomes. Haryana had the best infrastructure and facilities.
