  1. भारत Ipsos के “ग्लोबल हैप्पीनेस सर्वे” में 9 वें स्थान पर

इप्सोस के “ग्लोबल हैप्पीनेस सर्वे” के अनुसार, 28 वैश्विक बाजारों में भारतीय को खुशी सूचकांक में 9 वें स्थान पर रखा गया है। भारत के लिए, 6% की गिरावट (2018 में 83% से 2019 में 77%) हो गई है।

शीर्ष स्थान पर ऑस्ट्रेलिया और कनाडा (86% पर) दुनिया के सबसे खुश देशों के रूप में उभरे हैं, जबकि रूस (47%) 28 बाजारों के बीच, ढेर के निचले भाग में उभरा।

भारत निर्वाचन आयोग बेंगलुरु में एसोसिएशन ऑफ वर्ल्ड इलेक्शन बॉडीज की 4 वीं महासभा की मेजबानी करेगा। भारत 2019-21 के कार्यकाल के लिए A-WEB के अध्यक्ष के रूप में भी कार्यभार संभालेगा। बैठक में दुनिया भर के 50 से अधिक देश भाग लेंगे। A-WEB दुनिया भर में चुनाव प्रबंधन निकायों का सबसे बड़ा संघ है।

  1. गैस आधारित बिजली संयंत्र के लिए बांग्लादेश रिलायंस पावर के साथ के साझेदारी करेगा

बांग्लादेश सरकार ने रिलायंस पावर ऑफ इंडिया के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। समझौते के अनुसार, वे ढाका के पास मेघनाथ में 750 मेगावाट का गैस आधारित बिजली संयंत्र स्थापित करेंगे। 2022 तक प्लांट का निर्माण पूरा हो जाएगा।

रिलायंस पावर ने बांग्लादेश में चटगांव के पास कुतुबदिया द्वीप पर 500 mmscfd (मिलियन मानक क्यूबिक फीट प्रति दिन) एलएनजी टर्मिनल स्थापित करने के लिए पेट्रो बांग्ला के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।

According to a “Global Happiness Survey” by Ipsos, Indian has been ranked 9th on the happiness index among 28 global markets. For India, there has been a 6% drop (from 83% in 2018 to 77% in 2019).

Australia and Canada at the top spot (at 86%) have emerged as the happiest nations of the world, While Russia (47%) emerged at the bottom of the heap, among the 28 markets.

A new book named “A Short History of Indian Railways”, has been penned by veteran journalist and author Rajendra B Aklekar. This new book on the history of Indian Railways chronicles the journey of the national transporter from the 1830s to the new high-speed Train 18 and Prime Minister Narendra Modis ambitious bullet train project.

Charles Leclerc won the Belgian Grand Prix after defeating Lewis Hamilton by less than a second. The tournament was held at the Spa-Francorchamps track. This was his first victory of his Formula One career. It was also Ferrari’s first win this year.

Google and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology have signed a statement of intent to roll-out ‘Build for Digital India’. It is a programme which will provide engineering students a platform to develop market-ready, technology-based solutions that address key social problems. Under this program, the applicants will participate in online and offline learning opportunities on key technologies like machine learning, cloud and android.

  1. IPS Vivek Kumar Johri takes charge as BSF DG

IPS officer Vivek Kumar Johri took charge as the Director General (DG) of the country’s largest border guarding force, BSF. He will replace Rajni Kant Mishra.

VK Johri has been serving as the Special Secretary in the external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), under the Cabinet Secretariat. He will retire in September next year and is the 25th chief of the force.

The Election Commission of India will host the 4th General Assembly of Association of World Election Bodies at Bengaluru. India will also take over as A-WEB’s Chair for the 2019-21 term. Over 50 countries across the globe will be participating in the meeting. The A-WEB is the largest association of Election Management Bodies worldwide.

  1. Bangladesh partners with Reliance Power for gas based power plant

The Bangladesh government has signed an agreement with Reliance Power of India. As per the agreement, they will set up a 750 MW gas based power plant in Meghnahat near Dhaka. The construction of the plant will be completed by 2022.

Reliance Power has also signed an MoU with Petro Bangla to set up 500 mmscfd (Million standard cubic feet per day) LNG terminal at Kutubdia Island near Chittagong in Bangladesh.

  1. Indonesia to move capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan

Indonesia’s president announced that the country’s capital will move from overcrowded, sinking and polluted Jakarta to a site in sparsely populated East Kalimantan province on Borneo island.

The new capital city, which has not yet been named, will be in the middle of the vast archipelago nation and already has relatively complete infrastructure because it is near the cities of Balikpapan and Samarinda.
