Microsoft और CBSE ने स्कूलों में एआई सिखाने के लिए भागीदारी करेंगे
माइक्रोसॉफ्ट इंडिया और केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड ने स्कूलों के लिए एआई सीखने का निर्माण करने के लिए भागीदारी की है। वे K-12 शिक्षण में क्लाउड-संचालित प्रौद्योगिकी को एकीकृत करने के उद्देश्य से उच्च विद्यालय के शिक्षकों के लिए क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रम आयोजित करेंगे। कार्यक्रम 8-10 ग्रेड के शिक्षकों के लिए है और देश भर के 10 शहरों में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
कार्यक्रम शिक्षकों को नवीनतम सूचना और संचार प्रौद्योगिकी (आईसीटी) उपकरण तक बेहतर पहुंच प्रदान करेगा। इसलिए, यह शिक्षकों को सुरक्षित और सुरक्षित तरीके से शिक्षण में प्रौद्योगिकी को एकीकृत करने में मदद करेगा। यह कार्यक्रम शिक्षकों को माइक्रोसॉफ्ट इनोवेटिव एजुकेटर्स बनने का अवसर भी प्रदान करेगा।
मनु-सौरभ ने ISSF विश्व कप में स्वर्ण पदक जीता
मनु भाकर और सौरभ चौधरी ने रियो डी जनेरियो में आईएसएसएफ विश्व कप में मिश्रित 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। एयर पिस्टल फाइनल में, मनु भाकर और सौरभ चौधरी की जोड़ी ने यशस्विनी सिंह देशवाल और अभिषेक वर्मा को 17-15 से हराया। इसके साथ ही भारत ने आईएसएसएफ विश्व कप में 5 स्वर्ण, 2 रजत और 2 कांस्य के साथ पदक तालिका में शीर्ष स्थान पर रहा।
डब्ल्यूएचओ दक्षिण-पूर्व एशिया क्षेत्र में 2023 तक खसरा और रूबेला को खत्म करने का संकल्प लिया
विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन दक्षिण-पूर्व एशिया क्षेत्र ने 2023 तक खसरा और रूबेला को खत्म करने का संकल्प लिया है। अत्यधिक संक्रामक बचपन के हत्यारे रोगों “खसरा और रूबेला” को खत्म करने का संकल्प दक्षिण-पूर्व एशिया के लिए डब्ल्यूएचओ क्षेत्रीय समिति के 72 वें सत्र में दिल्ली में लिया गया था।
सदस्य-देशों ने नए लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए दो बीमारियों के खिलाफ प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली को मजबूत करने का संकल्प लिया।
भारत विश्व यात्रा और पर्यटन प्रतिस्पर्धा सूचकांक में 6 स्थानों की छलांग के साथ 34 वें स्थान पर
वर्ल्ड इकोनॉमिक फोरम (WEF) की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, वर्ल्ड ट्रैवल एंड टूरिज्म कॉम्पिटिटिवनेस इंडेक्स 2019 में भारत ने 34 वें स्थान पर पहुंचने के लिए 6 स्थानों की छलांग लगाई है। WEF रिपोर्ट बताती है, 1.5 करोड़ से अधिक अंतरराष्ट्रीय पर्यटक भारत पहुंचे, जबकि यात्रा और पर्यटन उद्योग का हिस्सा 3.6 फीसदी और उद्योग रोजगार 5.1 फीसदी था।
फ्रांस और जर्मनी के बाद रैंकिंग सूचकांक में स्पेन सबसे ऊपर है। शीर्ष 10 में अन्य देशों में जापान, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, यूनाइटेड किंगडम, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, इटली, कनाडा और स्विट्जरलैंड शामिल हैं।
स्टैंडर्ड चार्टर्ड बैंक ने “डिजीस्मार्ट” क्रेडिट कार्ड लॉन्च किया
एक ब्रिटिश बहुराष्ट्रीय बैंकिंग और वित्तीय सेवा कंपनी स्टैंडर्ड चार्टर्ड बैंक ने डिजीस्मार्ट क्रेडिट कार्ड लॉन्च किया है।
क्रेडिट कार्ड साल भर में यात्रा, मनोरंजन, फैशन, किराने का सामान और खाद्य वितरण की प्रमुख ई-कॉमर्स श्रेणियों में तत्काल छूट और लाभ प्रदान करेगा। नया क्रेडिट कार्ड केवल 49 रुपये के मामूली मासिक शुल्क के लिए उपलब्ध है। हालांकि, ग्राहक के पिछले महीने में 5,000 रुपये या उससे अधिक होने पर यह शुल्क माफ कर दिया जाएगा।
आपदा प्रबंधन में ओडिशा ने IT उत्कृष्टता पुरस्कार, 2019 जीता
ओडिशा राज्य आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (OSDMA) ने आपदा प्रबंधन के क्षेत्र में सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी का उपयोग करके अपनी अभिनव अवधारणा के लिए IT उत्कृष्टता पुरस्कार, 2019 जीता है। पुरस्कार के लिए “SATARK” (सिस्टम फॉर असेसमेंट, ट्रैकिंग एंड अलर्टिंग डिजास्टर रिस्क इन्फॉर्मेशन डायनामिक रिस्क नॉलेज पर आधारित) एप्लीकेशन को चुना गया है। इस ऐप को विभिन्न प्राकृतिक आपदाओं और गर्मी की लहर, बिजली, कृषि जोखिम, बाढ़, सूनामी, भूकंप, चक्रवात या तूफान, सड़क दुर्घटना और सर्पदंश जैसे विभिन्न प्राकृतिक आपदाओं और खतरों के लिए वास्तविक समय की घड़ी, सतर्क और चेतावनी की जानकारी प्रदान करने के लिए विकसित किया गया है।
विश्व मार्शल आर्ट मास्टर्सशिप में अनुपमा स्वैन ने कांस्य जीता
भारतीय महिला एथलीट अनुपमा स्वैन ने हाल ही में संपन्न विश्व मार्शल आर्ट मास्टर्सशिप जीयू-जित्सु 2019 में कांस्य पदक जीता। यह कार्यक्रम चुंगी, दक्षिण कोरिया में आयोजित किया गया था। अब उसने 2022 एशियाई खेलों के लिए क्वालीफाई किया। चैंपियनशिप में भाग लेने वाली वह एकमात्र भारतीय थीं।

भारतीय सेना ने संयुक्त अभ्यास “TSENTR 2019” में भाग लिया
भारतीय सेना रूस में आयोजित होने वाले एक बहुपक्षीय अभ्यास “TSENTR 2019” में भाग लेगी। अभ्यास में पाकिस्तान, चीन, कजाकिस्तान, किर्गिस्तान, ताजिकिस्तान, उज्बेकिस्तान और रूस की सेनाएं भी हिस्सा लेंगी। यह पहली बार होगा जब भारत और पाकिस्तान के बल एक साथ एक बहुपक्षीय अभ्यास में भाग लेंगे, क्योंकि भारतीय बलों द्वारा किए गए बालाकोट हवाई हमले होंगे।
व्यायाम बड़े पैमाने पर अभ्यास की वार्षिक श्रृंखला का एक हिस्सा है जो रूसी सशस्त्र बलों के वार्षिक प्रशिक्षण चक्र का हिस्सा बनता है। अभ्यास चार मुख्य रूसी परिचालन रणनीतिक आदेशों के बीच घूमता है।

Microsoft & CBSE partners to build AI learning for schools
Microsoft India and the Central Board of Secondary Education have partnered to build AI learning for schools. They will conduct capacity building programmes for high school teachers with an aim to integrate cloud-powered technology in K-12 teaching. The programme is for teachers of grades 8-10 and will be conducted in 10 cities across the country.
The programme will provide teachers better access to the latest Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools. Therefore, it will help the teachers to integrate technology into teaching in a safe and secure manner. The programme will also offer teachers the opportunity to become Microsoft Innovative Educators.
Manu-Saurabh won gold medal in ISSF World Cup
Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary won the gold medal in mixed 10m air pistol at the ISSF World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. In the air pistol final, the pair of Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary prevailed over Yashaswini Singh Deswal and Abhishek Verma 17-15. With this, India finished the ISSF World Cup at the top of the medals tally with 5 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze.
WHO South-East Asia Region to eliminate measles & rubella by 2023
World Health Organisation South-East Asia Region have resolved to eliminate measles and rubella by 2023. The resolution to eliminate the highly infectious childhood killer diseases “measles and rubella” was taken at the 72nd session of the WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia in Delhi.
The member-countries resolved to strengthen the immunisation systems against the two diseases to achieve the new targets.
India moves up 6 places to 34th rank on world travel and tourism competitiveness index
According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) report, India has jumped 6 places to claim 34th spot on World Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index 2019. The WEF report shows, over 1.5 crore international tourists arrived in India while the share of travel and tourism industry was 3.6 per cent and that of industry employment was 5.1 per cent.
Spain tops the ranking index followed by France and Germany. Other countries in the top 10 include Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Canada, and Switzerland.
Standard Chartered Bank launches “DigiSmart” credit card
Standard Chartered Bank, a British multinational banking and financial services company has launched a DigiSmart credit card. The primary focus of the Bank on the ever-growing segment of millennials.
The credit card will offer instant discounts and benefits across key e-commerce categories of travel, entertainment, fashion, groceries, and food delivery around the year. The new credit card is available for a nominal monthly fee of only Rs 49. However, this fee will be waived off if the spends of the customer are Rs 5,000 or above in the previous month.
Odisha won the IT Excellence Award, 2019 in disaster management
Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) has won the IT Excellence Award, 2019 for its innovative conception by using information technology in the field of disaster management. The “SATARK” (System for Assessing, Tracking and Alerting Disaster Risk Information based on Dynamic Risk Knowledge) application has been chosen for the award. This app has been developed to provide real-time watch, alert and warning information for different natural disasters and hazards such as heat wave, lightning, agriculture risk, flood, tsunami, earthquake, cyclone or storm, road accident and snakebite.
Anupama Swain wins bronze in World Martial Arts Mastership
Indian woman athlete Anupama Swain won a bronze medal in the recently concluded World Martial Arts Mastership Jiu-Jitsu 2019. The event was held in Chungiu. South Korea. Now she qualified for 2022 Asian Games. She was the only Indian to participate in the championship.
Jiu-Jitsu is a form of martial art and combat sport and it puts the entire focus on grappling with particular emphasis on ground fighting.
Indian army to participate in joint exercise “TSENTR 2019”
Indian army will participate in a multilateral exercise “TSENTR 2019” to be held in Russia. Armies of Pakistan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia will also participate in the exercise. This will be the first time that forces from India and Pakistan will participate in a multilateral exercise together since the Balakot airstrikes conducted by Indian forces.
The exercise is a part of the annual series of large scale exercises that form part of the Russian Armed Forces’ annual training cycle. The exercise rotates between the four main Russian operational strategic commands.
