DRDO ने पोखरण में नाग मिसाइलों का सफल परीक्षण किया
रक्षा अनुसंधान और विकास संगठन (DRDO) ने पोखरण रेंज में नाग मिसाइलों का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया। प्रणाली में नाग मिसाइल कैरियर व्हीकल (NAMICA) के साथ तीसरी पीढ़ी के एंटी-टैंक गाइडेड मिसाइल, नाग शामिल हैं।
नाग मिसाइल में शीर्ष हमले की क्षमता है जो प्रभावी रूप से सभी ज्ञात दुश्मन टैंकों को संलग्न और नष्ट कर सकती है।
संसद ने दंत चिकित्सक (संशोधन) विधेयक पारित किया
राज्यसभा ने दंत चिकित्सक (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2019 को पारित कर दिया है। लोकसभा ने पहले ही विधेयक पारित कर दिया था। विधेयक डेंटल काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया को अधिक प्रभावी बनाने और इसकी सदस्यता और राज्य परिषदों से संबंधित क्लॉस में बदलाव करना चाहता है।
यह डेंटल काउंसिल के पुनर्गठन से अतिरेक को कम करने में मदद करेगा। केंद्र सरकार के सदस्यों और निर्वाचित सदस्यों के प्रतिनिधित्व को अब नए कानून के अनुसार डेंटल काउंसिल में अनिवार्य नहीं बनाया जाएगा।
जम्मू-कश्मीर सरकार पेंशन संवितरण के लिए आधार से जुड़े भुगतान को मंजूरी दी
जम्मू-कश्मीर सरकार ने पेंशन संवितरण के लिए आधार-लिंक्ड भुगतान मोड को मंजूरी दी। इसका उद्देश्य पारदर्शिता सुनिश्चित करने और विलंब से बचने के लिए विभिन्न केंद्रीय और राज्य प्रायोजित योजनाओं के तहत लाभार्थियों को पेंशन वितरित करना है।
भारतीय अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों को चुनने, प्रशिक्षित करने के लिए इसरो ने रूसी एजेंसी के साथ समझौता किया

DRDO successfully tested Nag missiles in Pokhran
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully tested Nag missiles in Pokhran ranges. The system includes a third generation Anti-Tank Guided Missile, the NAG, along with the Missile Carrier Vehicle (NAMICA).
The Nag Missile has top attack capabilities that can effectively engage and destroy all known enemy tanks.
Parliament passes Dentists (Amendment) Bill
Rajya Sabah has passed the Dentists (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Lok Sabha had already passed the bill. The Bill seeks to make the Dental Council of India more effective and make changes in clauses relating to its membership and that of State Councils.
It will help reduce redundancy by restructuring the Dental Councils. The representation of Central Government members and elected members would no longer be made mandatory in the Dental Councils as per the new legislation.
J&K govt approves Aadhaar-linked payment for pension disbursal
The Jammu and Kashmir government approves Aadhaar-linked payment mode for pension disbursal. The aim is to distribute pension to the beneficiaries under various central and state sponsored schemes in order to ensure transparency and to avoid delay.
ISRO ties up with Russian agency to select, train Indian astronauts
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has signed a contract with Russia’s Glavkosmos for selection support, medical examination and space training of Indian astronauts. ISRO has planned to send two unmanned missions before the mission ‘Gaganyaan-1’.

Bill on voluntary use of Aadhaar as ID proof passed in Rajya Sabha
The Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was passed in Rajya Sabha. It will allow voluntary use of Aadhaar card as proof of identity for opening bank accounts and getting mobile connections. The bill was passed in Lok Sabha last week. It was tabled in the Rajya Sabha by Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Ten-man Brazil held on to win the Copa America on home soil despite Gabriel Jesus’s dismissal with a 3-1 victory over Peru. Jesus scored the decisive goal after a penalty from Peru captain Paolo Guerrero canceled out Everton’s opener for hosts Brazil at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana stadium.

Indian writer Annie Zaidi was announced as the 2019 winner of Nine Dots Prize. The 100,000 US dollars award is a prestigious book prize created to award innovative thinking that addresses contemporary issues around the world.
Mumbai-based Zaidi, a freelance writer won for her entry ‘Bread, Cement, Cactus’ – combining memoir and reportage to explore concepts of home and belonging rooted in her experience of contemporary life in India.
