ISRO ने एक लर्निंग प्रोग्राम “DHRUV” लॉन्च किया
“DHRUV” एक प्रधान मंत्री नवाचार सीखना कार्यक्रम बेंगलुरु में भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) से शुरू हुआ है और इसका समापन आईआईटी, दिल्ली में होगा। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य नवीन कल्पना कौशल और छात्रों के ज्ञान को और तेज करना है, जो देश में सामाजिक-आर्थिक, राजनीतिक और पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों के समाधान में योगदान देने की उम्मीद करते हैं।
कार्यक्रम के लिए विज्ञान, गणित और प्रदर्शन कला से 60 प्रतिभाशाली और प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों को चुना गया है।
RBI ने उपभोक्ता विश्वास सर्वेक्षण (सितंबर 2019) जारी किया
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने अपने उपभोक्ता विश्वास सर्वेक्षण के सितंबर 2019 के दौर के परिणाम जारी किए हैं। सर्वेक्षण 13 प्रमुख शहरों में किया गया था: अहमदाबाद, बेंगलुरु, भोपाल, चेन्नई, दिल्ली, गुवाहाटी, हैदराबाद, जयपुर, कोलकाता, लखनऊ, मुंबई, पटना और तिरुवनंतपुरम।
सामान्य आर्थिक स्थिति, रोजगार परिदृश्य, समग्र मूल्य स्थिति और स्वयं की आय और व्यय पर धारणाएं और अपेक्षाएं इन शहरों में परिवारों से प्राप्त की जाती हैं।
GoI ने लॉन्च किया “गंगा आमंत्रन: ओपन वाटर राफ्टिंग अभियान”
जल शक्ति मंत्री ने ‘गंगा अमंत्रण’ नामक एक पहल शुरू की है। नदी के हितधारकों के साथ जुड़ने के लिए पहल शुरू की गई है। यह गंगा नदी पर एक अग्रणी खोजपूर्ण ओपन-वाटर राफ्टिंग और कयाकिंग अभियान है। यह अभियान देवप्रयाग में शुरू होगा और गंगा सागर में समाप्त होगा और नदी के 2500 किलोमीटर से अधिक हिस्से को कवर करेगा।
गंगा आमरण नदी को स्वच्छ बनाने के लिए राष्ट्रीय मिशन द्वारा स्वच्छ गंगा का पहला प्रयास है। नदी के कायाकल्प और जल संरक्षण के संदेश को फैलाने के लिए एक साहसिक खेल गतिविधि के माध्यम से यह अब तक का सबसे लंबा सामाजिक अभियान है
विश्व मानसिक स्वास्थ्य दिवस 10 अक्टूबर को मनाया गया
विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन हर साल 10 अक्टूबर को विश्व मानसिक स्वास्थ्य दिवस मनाता है। यह दिन दुनिया भर में मानसिक स्वास्थ्य के मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य के समर्थन में प्रयासों को बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से मनाया जाता है। यह दिवस मानसिक स्वास्थ्य मुद्दों पर काम करने वाले सभी हितधारकों को उनके काम के बारे में बात करने का अवसर प्रदान करता है और दुनिया भर के लोगों के लिए मानसिक स्वास्थ्य देखभाल को वास्तविकता बनाने के लिए और अधिक करने की आवश्यकता है।

मछुआरों को खतरे से आगाह करने के लिए “GEMINI” प्रणाली
GEMINI एक पोर्टेबल रिसीवर है जिसे संचार ब्लैकआउट से बचने के लिए विकसित किया गया है। यह इसरो-उपग्रहों से जुड़ा हुआ है और “फेल-प्रूफ” है और मछुआरों को खतरे से आगाह करता है। इंडियन नेशनल सेंटर फॉर ओशन इन्फॉर्मेशन सर्विसेज ने एक निजी कंपनी एकॉर्ड के साथ मिलकर एक बॉक्स के आकार का रिसीवर विकसित किया है, जिसमें एक एंटीना और इन-बिल्ट है। बैटरी जो 3 से 4 दिनों तक चल सकती है। GEMINI GAGAN पर काम करती है, जो ISRO और भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरण द्वारा विकसित की गई है और यह एक भारत निर्मित वैश्विक पोजिशनिंग सिस्टम है और ISRO के GSAT उपग्रहों द्वारा स्थिति निर्धारण प्रणाली पर निर्भर करता है। यह मछुआरों को आसपास के समुद्रों में मछली पकड़ने की संभावना को भी जानने देता है।
RBI ने ‘केरल बैंक’ बनाने के लिए DCBs के विलय को मंजूरी दी
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने केरल राज्य सहकारी बैंक (DCBS) को केरल राज्य सहकारी बैंक के साथ प्रस्तावित “केरल बैंक” बनाने के लिए केरल सरकार को आगे बढ़ाने की अनुमति दी है।
मलप्पुरम डिस्ट्रिक्ट कोऑपरेटिव बैंक को छोड़कर, सभी जिला बैंकों ने राज्य सरकार द्वारा प्रस्तावित समामेलन की योजना को अपनी आम सभा की बैठकों में मंजूरी दे दी थी। अब, सरकार को विलय के लिए निर्धारित की गई शर्तों को पूरा करना होगा और 31 मार्च, 2020 से पहले शीर्ष बैंक को एक अनुपालन रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करनी होगी। आरबीआई ने यह भी जोर दिया कि राज्य सरकार को अतिरिक्त पूंजी को लगातार डालना होगा और एक अच्छी तरह से KSCS अधिनियम में संशोधन करके परिभाषित जगह पर रखना होगा। ।
रूस ने अंतरिक्ष यात्री निक हेग को “ऑर्डर ऑफ़ करेज” से सम्मानित किया
रूस ने नासा के अंतरिक्ष यात्री निक हेग को अपने सर्वोच्च सम्मान “द ऑर्डर ऑफ करेज” से सम्मानित किया है। अक्टूबर 2018 में कजाकिस्तान के बैकोनूर कोस्मोड्रोम से ब्लास्ट-ऑफ करने के कुछ ही मिनटों बाद निक हेग ने रूसी कॉस्मोनॉट एलेक्सी ओविचिन के साथ एक अंतरिक्ष यान के प्रक्षेपण से बच गए।
हेग को उनके “साहस और उच्च प्रोफेशनलिज्म” के लिए सम्मानित किया गया है जो उस खतरनाक स्थिति के दौरान दिखाया गया था।
सरकारी कर्मचारियों का महंगाई भत्ता 5% बढ़ा
केंद्र सरकार ने केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों के महंगाई भत्ते (डीए) में वृद्धि की है। सरकार ने डीए को 5% बढ़ा दिया है, जिसका मतलब है कि महंगाई भत्ते को 12% से बढ़ाकर 17% कर दिया गया है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में हुई कैबिनेट की बैठक में इस फैसले को मंजूरी दी गई। जुलाई 2019 से बढ़ोतरी प्रभावी होगी। सरकारी खजाने को लागत 16,000 करोड़ रुपये होगी।
RBI ने इंडियाबुल्स हाउसिंग और लक्ष्मी विलास बैंक के विलय सौदे को खारिज कर दिया
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने इंडियाबुल्स हाउसिंग फाइनेंस और लक्ष्मी विलास बैंक के विलय प्रस्ताव को खारिज कर दिया है। RBI ने लक्ष्मी विलास बैंक लिमिटेड के साथ इंडियाबुल्स हाउसिंग फाइनेंस लिमिटेड और इंडियाबुल्स कमर्शियल क्रेडिट लिमिटेड के स्वैच्छिक समामेलन के आवेदन को अस्वीकार कर दिया है।
यह विलय लक्ष्मी विलास बैंक के लिए महत्वपूर्ण था क्योंकि यह अब उच्च स्तर के खराब ऋणों और अपर्याप्त पूंजी के कारण आरबीआई की त्वरित सुधारात्मक कार्रवाई ढांचे के तहत है।

ISRO launched a Learning Programme”DHRUV”
“DHRUV” a Pradhan Mantri Innovation Learning Programme has commenced from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru and will conclude at IIT, Delhi. The programme aims to further sharpen innovative imagination skills and knowledge of the students who are expected to contribute to bringing solutions to socio-economic, political and environmental issues in the country.
60 brightest and talented students from Science, Mathematics and Performing Arts have been chosen for the programme.
RBI released Consumer Confidence Survey (September 2019)
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the results of the September 2019 round of its Consumer Confidence Survey. The survey was conducted in 13 major cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram.
Perceptions and expectations on the general economic situation, the employment scenario, the overall price situation and own income and spending are obtained from households across these cities.
GoI launches “Ganga Aamantran: Open Water Rafting Expedition”
Jal Shakti Minister has launched an initiative ‘Ganga Amantran’. The initiative has been launched to connect with the stakeholders of the river. It is a pioneering exploratory open-water rafting and kayaking expedition on the Ganga river. The expedition will start at Devaprayag and culminate at Ganga Sagar covering the entire stretch of over 2500 kms of the River.
Ganga Aamantran is the 1st ever effort by National Mission for Clean Ganga to raft across the entire stretch of the river. It is also the longest ever social campaign undertaken through an adventure sporting activity to spread the message of River Rejuvenation and Water Conservation on a
World Mental Health Day observed 10 October
World Health Organization observes World Mental Health Day on 10th of October every year. The day is celebrated with an objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
The theme selected for this year’s Day: Suicide Prevention.
“GEMINI” system to warn fishermen of danger
GEMINI is a portable receiver developed to avoid communication blackouts. It linked to ISRO-satellites and is “fail-proof” and warn fishermen of danger. The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services collaborated with Accord, a private company, to develop a box-shaped receiver that has an antenna and in-built battery that can last 3 to 4 days. GEMINI works on GAGAN, developed by ISRO and the Airports Authority of India and is an India-made global positioning system and relies on the positioning system by ISRO’s GSAT satellites. When GEMINI is connected to an app, it also lets fishermen know the probability of fish-catch in the surrounding seas.
RBI approves merger of DCBs to form ‘Kerala Bank’
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given the go-ahead to the Kerala government to amalgamate 13 district cooperative banks (DCBS) with the Kerala State Cooperative Bank to form the proposed “Kerala Bank”.
Except the Malappuram District Cooperative Bank, all district banks had approved the scheme of amalgamation proposed by the State government at their respective general body meetings. Now, the government have to complete the stipulations laid for merger and submit a compliance report to the apex bank before March 31, 2020. RBI also insisted that the State government would have to consistently infuse additional capital and also put in place a well-defined governance structure by amending the KSCS Act.
Russia honors astronaut Nick Hague with “Order of Courage”
Russia has honoured NASA astronaut Nick Hague with one of its highest honours, “The Order of Courage”. Nick Hague survived an aborted space launch with Russian cosmonaut Aleksey Ovchinin when their Soyuz rocket failed minutes after blast-off from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in October 2018.
Hague has been awarded for his “courage and high professionalism” shown during life-threatening conditions.
Dearness allowance of government employees hiked by 5%
The Central government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of Central government employees and pensioners. The government has hiked DA by 5%, which means the dearness allowance has been increased from 12% to 17%. The decision was approved in a cabinet meet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The hike would be effective from July 2019. The cost to the exchequer will be Rs 16,000 crore.
RBI rejects Indiabulls Housing & Lakshmi Vilas Bank merger deal
The Reserve Bank of India has rejected the merger proposal of Indiabulls Housing Finance and Lakshmi Vilas Bank. RBI has rejected the application for voluntary amalgamation of Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd. and Indiabulls Commercial Credit Ltd. with the Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd.
The merger was crucial for Lakshmi Vilas Bank as it is now under the prompt corrective action framework of the RBI due to a high level of bad loans and insufficient capital.
