Rs. 10 lakhs Compensation for all Postal employees
Amid the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Postal employees including Gramin Dak Sevaks are performing various departmental duties as well as serving the social cause in the crisis times. Therefore, it has been decided to grant payment of compensation of Rs. 10 lakhs to all the Postal employees including Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) succumbing to the disease while brought on duty. The above guidelines have been implemented immediately and continues for the entire period till the crises of COVID-19 is over.
During the lockdown situation due to COVID-19, the Postal employees including the Gramin Dak Sevaks are doing various duties such as providing mail delivery to customers, Post Office Saving Bank, Postal Life Insurance, the ease of money withdrawal at his/her doorstep from any bank and any branch under the AePS facility. Apart from above, they are also delivering COVID-19 kits, food packets, rations and essential medicines etc. across the nation by cooperating with local State administration as well as police authorities, hence serving the social cause as well as their departmental duties in the COVID-19 crisis times.
Delhi government launches ‘Assess Koro Na’ app
The Delhi Government has launched ‘Assess Koro Na’ mobile application. The Delhi government has also advised the officials to use the new ‘Assess Koro Na’ app to do door-to-door survey in COVID-19 containment zones. This mobile application will speed up decisionmaking by analysing the real-time data and hence removing a major obstacle in the efforts to contain the virus. Through this app, the collected data can be uploaded in real-time on the servers for its immediate analysis.
The ‘Assess Koro Na’ mobile application has launched keeping in view the challenges faced by the officials in collecting and analysing the data of a person in a physical form.
National Conference on Kharif crops 2020 held
The National Conference on Kharif crops 2020 was held through video conference. The prime objective of the conference was to discuss various issues and to list out measures in consultation with the States about their preparedness for Kharif cultivation amid the lockdown situation.
The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar addressed the conference. During the conference, the minister emphasized on achieving the aim of kharif target and take up doubling of farmers’ income in the mission mode. He also urged the states to explain two schemes namely “PM Fasal Bima Yojana” and “Soil Health Card scheme” to each farmer. He also announced the commencement of All India Agri Transport Call Centre in order to ensure that Agriculture is not affected due to the lockdown.
CSIR-NAL develops Personal Protective Coverall Suit
CSIR constituent Lab in Bengaluru, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) has developed Personal Protective Coverall Suit in association with MAF Clothing Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. The polyproplylene spun laminated multi-layered non-woven fabric based suit has been developed for the front line health workers in order to fight aginst COVID-19. The Personal Protective Coverall Suit will ensure the safety of front line health workers i.e. Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical staff and Health Care workers working round the clock on COVID-19 mitigation.
The Personal Protective Coverall Suit has been been qualified for the use after going through stringent testing at SITRA, Coimbatore.
TVS Motor Company acquires sporting Motorcycle brand ‘Norton’
TVS Motor Company’s overseas subsidiary TVS Motor Singapore Pte. Ltd has acquired the United Kingdom’s most iconic sporting motorcycle brand ‘Norton’. The iconic sporting motorcycle brand was acquired in an allcash transaction of £16 million. As a part of deal, TVS Motor Singapore Pte. Ltd has signed an asset purchase agreement with Norton Motorcycles Holdings Ltd and Norton Motorcycles (UK) Ltd.
Norton, a 122 year-old motorcycle company was founded by James Lansdowne Norton in Birmingham and went on to become the most popular British motorcycle brands of all time. Norton has a popular series of bikes sold under Commando and Dominator names.
DRDO rolls out new products to enable COVID-19 disinfection process
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has rolls out new products to enable COVID-19 disinfection process. These new products includes Automatic Mist Based Sanitiser Dispensing Unit and UV Sanitisation Box and Hand-held UV device. DRDO is continuously developing solutions from its existing arsenal of technologies to contribute towards fight against COVID-19.
Automatic Mist Based Sanitiser Dispensing Unit has been developed by Centre for Fire Explosive & Environment Safety (CFEES), Delhi. It is based on water mist aerator technology. Automatic Mist Based Sanitiser Dispensing Unit is a contactless sanitiser dispenser which sprays hand rub sanitiser solution for sanitisation of hands while entering or exiting the buildings/office complexes, etc. It can be used in office buildings, residential buildings, airports, hospitals, malls, railway stations, bus stations and critical installations.
Agriculture Minister launches “Kisan Rath” Mobile App
Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has launched a mobile application “Kisan Rath”. This farmer friendly app has been launched to facilitate transportation of foodgrains and perishables during lockdown.
The mobile application “Kisan Rath” has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to provide farmers & traders in finding transport vehicles for Primary and Secondary transportation for movement of Agriculture & Horticulture produce. The agriculture produce comprises of food grain (Pulses, coarse cereal, cereals etc), Fruits & Vegetables, coconuts, spices, oil seeds, flowers, bamboo, log & minor forest produce, fiber crops etc. With the help of this app, the traders will also be able to transport perishable commodities by Reefer (Refrigerated) vehicles.

सभी डाक कर्मचारियों के लिए 10 रुपये लाख मुआवजा
COVID-19 महामारी के कारण देशव्यापी तालाबंदी के बीच, ग्रामीण डाक सेवकों सहित डाक कर्मचारी विभिन्न विभागीय कर्तव्यों के साथ-साथ संकट के समय में सामाजिक कारण की सेवा कर रहे हैं। इसलिए, रुपये के मुआवजे का भुगतान करने का निर्णय लिया गया है। ग्रामीण डाक सेवकों (जीडीएस) सहित सभी डाक कर्मचारियों को ड्यूटी पर लाए जाने पर 10 लाख रुपये। उपरोक्त दिशानिर्देश तुरंत लागू किए गए हैं और COVID-19 के संकट समाप्त होने तक पूरी अवधि के लिए जारी हैं।

दिल्ली सरकार ने ‘असेसमेंट कोरो ना’ ऐप लॉन्च किया
दिल्ली सरकार ने ‘आकलन करो ना’ मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन लॉन्च किया है। दिल्ली सरकार ने अधिकारियों को COVID-19 सम्मिलन क्षेत्रों में डोर-टू-डोर सर्वे करने के लिए नए ‘असेसमेंट कोरो ना’ ऐप का उपयोग करने की सलाह दी है। यह मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन वास्तविक समय के आंकड़ों का विश्लेषण करके निर्णय लेने में तेजी लाएगा और इसलिए वायरस को रोकने के प्रयासों में एक बड़ी बाधा को दूर करेगा। इस ऐप के माध्यम से, एकत्रित डेटा को उसके तत्काल विश्लेषण के लिए सर्वर पर वास्तविक समय में अपलोड किया जा सकता है।
‘एसेसमेंट कोरो ना’ मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन ने भौतिक रूप में किसी व्यक्ति के डेटा को एकत्र करने और उसका विश्लेषण करने में अधिकारियों के सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों को ध्यान में रखते हुए लॉन्च किया है।
खरीफ फसलों पर राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन 2020 आयोजित
खरीफ फसलों पर राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन 2020 वीडियो सम्मेलन के माध्यम से आयोजित किया गया। सम्मेलन का मुख्य उद्देश्य विभिन्न मुद्दों पर चर्चा करना और लॉकडाउन की स्थिति के बीच खरीफ की खेती के लिए उनकी तैयारियों के बारे में राज्यों के परामर्श से उपायों को सूचीबद्ध करना था।
केंद्रीय कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर ने सम्मेलन को संबोधित किया। सम्मेलन के दौरान, मंत्री ने खरीफ लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने और मिशन मोड में किसानों की आय को दोगुना करने पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने राज्यों से आग्रह किया कि वे प्रत्येक किसान को दो योजनाएं “पीएम फसल बीमा योजना” और “मृदा स्वास्थ्य कार्ड योजना” समझाएं। उन्होंने यह भी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ऑल इंडिया एग्री ट्रांसपोर्ट कॉल सेंटर शुरू करने की घोषणा की ताकि लॉकडाउन के कारण कृषि प्रभावित न हो।

बेंगलुरु में CSIR घटक प्रयोगशाला, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) ने MAF क्लोथिंग प्राइवेट लि. बेंगलुरु के साथ मिलकर पर्सनल प्रोटेक्टिव कवरॉल सूट विकसित किया है। पॉलिप्रोप्लिलेन स्पून लैमिनेटेड मल्टी लेयर्ड नॉन-वेट फैब्रिक बेस्ड सूट को फ्रंट लाइन हेल्थ वर्कर्स के लिए विकसित किया गया है ताकि एंगस्टीन COVID -19 से मुकाबला किया जा सके। पर्सनल प्रोटेक्टिव कवरॉल सूट, COVID-19 शमन पर चौबीसों घंटे काम करने वाले फ्रंट लाइन हेल्थ वर्कर्स यानी डॉक्टरों, नर्सों, पैरामेडिकल स्टाफ और हेल्थ केयर वर्कर्स की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करेगा।

टीवीएस मोटर कंपनी की विदेशी सहायक कंपनी टीवीएस मोटर सिंगापुर Pte. Ltd ने यूनाइटेड किंगडम के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित खेल मोटरसाइकिल ब्रांड ‘नॉर्टन’ का अधिग्रहण किया है। 16 मिलियन पाउंड के एलकैश लेनदेन में प्रतिष्ठित स्पोर्टिंग मोटरसाइकिल ब्रांड का अधिग्रहण किया गया था। सौदे के एक हिस्से के रूप में, टीवीएस मोटर सिंगापुर Pte लिमिटेड ने नॉर्टन मोटरसाइकल होल्डिंग्स लिमिटेड और नॉर्टन मोटरसाइकल (यूके) लिमिटेड के साथ एक परिसंपत्ति खरीद समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।

डिफेंस रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट ऑर्गनाइजेशन (DRDO) ने COVID-19 कीटाणुशोधन प्रक्रिया को सक्षम करने के लिए नए उत्पादों को रोल आउट किया है। इन नए उत्पादों में ऑटोमैटिक मिस्ट बेस्ड सैनटाइसर डिस्पेंसिंग यूनिट और यूवी सेनिटेशन बॉक्स और हाथ से पकड़े जाने योग्य यूवी डिवाइस शामिल हैं। DRDO, COVID-19 के खिलाफ लड़ाई में योगदान देने के लिए अपने मौजूदा शस्त्रागार से समाधानों का निरंतर विकास कर रहा है।
सेंटर फॉर फायर एक्सप्लोसिव एंड एनवायरमेंट सेफ्टी (सीएफईईएस), दिल्ली द्वारा ऑटोमैटिक मिस्ट बेस्ड सैनटिसर डिस्पेंसिंग यूनिट विकसित की गई है। यह वॉटर मिस्ट ऐरेटर तकनीक पर आधारित है। ऑटोमैटिक मिस्ट बेस्ड सैनटिसर डिस्पेंसिंग यूनिट एक कॉन्टैक्टलेस सैनिटाइजर डिस्पेंसर है जो बिल्डिंग / ऑफिस कॉम्प्लेक्स आदि में प्रवेश करते या बाहर निकलते समय हाथों के सैनिटाइजेशन के लिए हैंड रब सैनिटाइजर घोल का छिड़काव करता है। इसका इस्तेमाल ऑफिस बिल्डिंग, रिहायशी बिल्डिंग, एयरपोर्ट, हॉस्पिटल, मॉल में किया जा सकता है। रेलवे स्टेशन, बस स्टेशन और महत्वपूर्ण प्रतिष्ठान।
कृषि मंत्री ने “किसान रथ” मोबाइल ऐप लॉन्च किया
कृषि मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर ने एक मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन “किसान रथ” लॉन्च किया है। लॉकडाउन के दौरान खाद्यान्नों और पेरीशेल्स के परिवहन की सुविधा के लिए यह किसान अनुकूल ऐप लॉन्च किया गया है।
कृषि और बागवानी उत्पादन के लिए प्राथमिक और माध्यमिक परिवहन के लिए परिवहन वाहन खोजने में किसानों और व्यापारियों को प्रदान करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र (एनआईसी) द्वारा मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन “किसान रथ” विकसित किया गया है। कृषि उपज में अनाज (दलहन) शामिल हैं। मोटे अनाज, अनाज आदि), फल और सब्जियां, नारियल, मसाले, तेल के बीज, फूल, बांस, लॉग और मामूली वन उपज, फाइबर की फसलें आदि। इस ऐप की मदद से व्यापारी पेरिशियस कमोडिटी को भी प्रशीतित वाहन से परिवहन कर सकेंगे।
