World Tuberculosis Day celebrated on 24th March
Each year, World Tuberculosis (TB) Day was commemorated on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of TB, and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic.
The theme of World TB Day 2019 – ‘It’s time’. The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced that he had discovered the bacterium that causes TB, which opened the way towards diagnosing and curing this disease.
10 lakh people march in London demanding 2nd Brexit referendum
More than 10 lakh people marched through London on Saturday, demanding a second Brexit referendum, organisers of the ‘Put It To The People’ campaign said. It comes after the European Union agreed to delay Brexit until May 22 if the UK Parliament accepts Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal. The Parliament has rejected the Brexit deal twice.

India beat Asiad 2018 champs Japan 2-0 in Sultan Azlan Shah
India opened their Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2019 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Asian Games 2018 champions Japan in Malaysia’s Ipoh on Saturday. Defender Varun Kumar opened the scoring for India in the 24th minute before Simranjeet Singh made it 2-0 in the 55th minute. India will next face South Korea on Sunday.
Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor named Best Actress, Actor at Filmfare 2019
Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress award at Filmfare Awards 2019 for her role in ‘Raazi’, clinching the Filmfare top actress trophy for the second time. Ranbir Kapoor was named the Best Actor for portraying Sanjay Dutt in ‘Sanju’. Meanwhile, ‘Raazi’ won the award for the Best Film, while its director Meghna Gulzar was named the Best Director

विश्व क्षय रोग दिवस 24 मार्च को मनाया गया
हर साल विश्व क्षय रोग (टीबी) दिवस 24 मार्च को टीबी के विनाशकारी स्वास्थ्य, सामाजिक और आर्थिक परिणामों के बारे में सार्वजनिक जागरूकता बढ़ाने और वैश्विक टीबी महामारी को समाप्त करने के प्रयासों को बढ़ाने के लिए मनाया गया।
विश्व टीबी दिवस 2019 का विषय – ‘यह समय है’। 1882 में उस दिन की तारीख को चिह्नित किया गया जब डॉ. रॉबर्ट कोच ने घोषणा की कि उन्होंने टीबी का कारण बनने वाले जीवाणु की खोज की थी, जिसने इस बीमारी के निदान और इलाज की दिशा में रास्ता खोल दिया।
लंदन में 10 लाख लोगों ने दूसरा ब्रेक्सिट जनमत संग्रह कराने की मांग की
‘पुट इट टू द पीपल’ अभियान के आयोजकों ने कहा, 10 से अधिक लोगों ने शनिवार को लंदन के माध्यम से मार्च किया, दूसरे ब्रेक्सिट जनमत संग्रह की मांग की। यह तब होता है जब यूरोपीय संघ 22 मई तक ब्रेक्सिट में देरी करने के लिए सहमत हो जाता है अगर ब्रिटेन की संसद प्रधानमंत्री थेरेसा मे के ब्रेक्सिट सौदे को स्वीकार कर लेती है। संसद ने ब्रेक्सिट सौदे को दो बार खारिज कर दिया है।

सुल्तान अजलान शाह में भारत ने एशियाड 2018 के चैंपियन जापान को 2-0 से हराया
भारत ने शनिवार को मलेशिया के इपोह में एशियाई खेलों 2018 के चैंपियन जापान पर 2-0 की जीत के साथ अपना सुल्तान अजलान शाह कप 2019 अभियान खोला। डिफेंडर वरुण कुमार ने 24 वें मिनट में सिमरनजीत सिंह के 55 वें मिनट में गोल करने से पहले भारत के लिए गोल किया। भारत का अगला मुकाबला रविवार को दक्षिण कोरिया से होगा।

आलिया भट्ट ने दूसरी बार फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड्स 2019 में ‘राजी’ में अपनी भूमिका के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री का पुरस्कार जीता, दूसरी बार फिल्मफेयर की शीर्ष अभिनेत्री की ट्रॉफी प्राप्त की। ‘संजू’ में संजय दत्त को चित्रित करने के लिए रणबीर कपूर को सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेता का पुरस्कार दिया गया। इस बीच, ‘राजी’ ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ फिल्म का पुरस्कार जीता, जबकि इसके निर्देशक मेघना गुलज़ार को सर्वश्रेष्ठ निर्देशक का पुरस्कार दिया गया।
