International Day Against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking observed on 26 June
International Day Against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking is observed globally on 26th June every year. The day is observed by the United Nations as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse.
The theme for the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2020: “Better Knowledge for Better Care”. The main purpose of the theme is to improve the understanding of the world drug problem and at fostering greater international cooperation for countering its impact on health, governance and security.
Himachal Pradesh wins e-Panchayat Puraskar 2020
Himachal Pradesh state Panchayati raj department wins 1st prize under e-Panchayat Puraskar-2020. This prize was given by the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj. All the 3,226 panchayats of the state have been provided internet facility and people can access various services online. The various services such as family register, registration of birth, death and marriages are registered online in the panchayats.
Union ministry of Panchayati raj has been making efforts to bring in transparency, efficiency and accountability in the functioning of gram panchayats through the use of information and communication technology. The epanchayat puraskar is conferred to those states which have ensured maximum use of information technology for monitoring the works of the panchayats.
Folk artist Gulabbai Sangamnerkar to get lifetime honour
The Maharashtra government has declared the Vithabai Narayangaokar lifetime achievement award to folk artist Gulabbai Sangamnerkar. The Vithabai Narayangaokar lifetime achievement award is given to a senior tamasha (folk art) artiste. The honour for 2018-19 is being presented upon Gulabbai Sangamnerkar. The honour conveys the money prize of Rs 5 lakh, a citation and a memento.
The Annasaheb Kirloskar award will be presented upon veteran theatre on-screen character artist Madhuvanti Dandekar. The Sangeetacharya Annasaheb Kirloskar musical theatre lifetime achievement award also carries the cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a memento and a citation.
MPMKVVCL starts Nishtha Vidyut Mitra Scheme for women empowerment
In Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company has launched the Nishtha Vidyut Mitra Scheme for women empowerment. Under the scheme, women Self-Help Groups at Gram Panchayat level will work as Nishtha Vidyut Mitra.
This scheme will the company to increase the revenue collection as well as women will also earn extra. This scheme has been implemented in all the Gram Panchayats of all 16 districts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions of the company’s jurisdiction.
Jitendra Singh inaugurates Devika and Puneja Bridges in J&K
Union Minister Jitendra Singh has inaugurated two bridges Devika and Puneja at Udhampur and Doda districts respectively in Jammu and Kashmir. The Bridge on River Devika in Udhampur has been completed by Border Roads Organisation within fifteen months time. The Puneja Bridge was also constructed by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in 36 months.
The 10-meter-long Devika Bridge construction resolve the traffic issues of the region and this will also help in smooth passage of army convoys and vehicles. While the 50meter-long Puneja Bridge is strategically very important from defence point of view. It will also provide a vital alternate link to the Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts beside Kashmir valley from Pathankot (Punjab) without entering Jammu and Udhampur via Lakhanpur.
Union Cabinet approves formation of “IN-SPACE”
The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) will offer a level playing field to the private companies by allowing them to use Indian space infrastructure. It will also hand-hold, promote as well as guide the private companies in space activities via encouraging policies along with friendly regulatory environment. These reforms in the Indian space sector will allow Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to focus on research and development activities, new technologies, exploration missions as well as human spaceflight programme.
Tripura Govt announces ‘Ektu Khelo Ektu Padho’ scheme
Tripura government has announced a special initiative for activity-based learning named ‘Ektu Khelo, Ektu Padho’. The new scheme was floated aiming at engaging students by disseminating audio and video contents focused on hands-on learning activities and messages of simple projects, fun activities and games among them through WhatsApp or SMS services. “The new scheme can be accessed via smartphones of guardians. In case no smartphone is available, SMS services would be used to teach students”.
Mali awarded 500-MW solar park project to NTPC
The Republic of Mali has awarded the project management consultancy contract for the development of 500 megawatts (MW) solar park to National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC).
The announcement was made in an event hosted by the International Solar Alliance. The event was chaired by renewable energy minister RK Singh. The Ambassador of Mali Sekou Kasse attended the event. Earlier, the Republic of Togo had engaged NTPC for similar support for the development of the 285-MW solar park.
Cabinet gives International airport status to Kushinagar Airport
Union Cabinet has given International Airport status to Kushinagar Airport in Uttar Pradesh. The International status to the Airport will end in boosting of domestic/international tourism and economic development of the regions. It will be a crucial strategic location with the international border accessible.
A 3-km-long runway strip has already been made. Now, even an enormous aircraft of Airbus can land at the airport. Kushinagar is located within the north-eastern a part of Uttar Pradesh about 50 km east of Gorakhpur and is one among the important Buddhist pilgrimage sites.

नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग और अवैध तस्करी के खिलाफ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस विश्व स्तर पर हर साल 26 जून को मनाया जाता है। यह दिवस संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग से मुक्त अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समाज के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए कार्रवाई और सहयोग को मजबूत करने के अपने दृढ़ संकल्प के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग और अवैध तस्करी के खिलाफ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 2020 के लिए विषय: “बेहतर देखभाल के लिए बेहतर ज्ञान”। विषय का मुख्य उद्देश्य विश्व दवा समस्या की समझ में सुधार करना और स्वास्थ्य, शासन और सुरक्षा पर इसके प्रभाव का मुकाबला करने के लिए अधिक से अधिक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना है।
हिमाचल प्रदेश ने ई-पंचायत पुरस्कार 2020 जीता
हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य पंचायती राज विभाग ने ई-पंचायत पुरस्कार -2020 के तहत प्रथम पुरस्कार जीता। यह पुरस्कार केंद्रीय पंचायती राज मंत्रालय द्वारा दिया गया था। राज्य की सभी 3,226 पंचायतों को इंटरनेट की सुविधा प्रदान की गई है और लोग ऑनलाइन विभिन्न सेवाओं का उपयोग कर सकते हैं। पंचायतों में परिवार रजिस्टर, जन्म, मृत्यु और विवाह के पंजीकरण जैसी विभिन्न सेवाएं ऑनलाइन पंजीकृत हैं।
केंद्रीय पंचायती राज मंत्रालय सूचना और संचार प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग के माध्यम से ग्राम पंचायतों के कामकाज में पारदर्शिता, दक्षता और जवाबदेही लाने के प्रयास कर रहा है। पंचायत पुरस्कार उन राज्यों को प्रदान किया जाता है, जिन्होंने पंचायतों के कार्यों की निगरानी के लिए सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी का अधिकतम उपयोग सुनिश्चित किया है।
लोक कलाकार गुलाबबाई संगमनेरकर को लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट पाने पुरस्कार दिया गया
महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने लोक कलाकार गुलाबबाई संगमनेरकर को विथाबाई लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट पुरस्कार दिया। विठाबाई नारायणोकार लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट पुरस्कार वरिष्ठ तमाशा (लोक कला) कलाकार को दिया जाता है। 2018-19 का सम्मान गुलाबबाई संगमनेरकर को प्रदान किया जा रहा है। सम्मान में 5 लाख रुपये का पुरस्कार, एक प्रशस्ति पत्र और एक स्मृति चिन्ह प्रदान किया जायेगा।
अन्नासाहेब किर्लोस्कर पुरस्कार को अनुभवी रंगमंच के ऑन-स्क्रीन चरित्र कलाकार मधुवंती दांडेकर को प्रस्तुत दिया जाएगा। संगीताचार्य अन्नसाहेब किर्लोस्कर म्यूजिकल थिएटर लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड में 5 लाख रुपये का नकद पुरस्कार, एक स्मृति चिन्ह और एक प्रशस्ति पत्र भी दिया जाता है।
MPMKVVCL ने महिला सशक्तीकरण के लिए निश्चय विद्युत मित्र योजना शुरू की
मध्य प्रदेश में, मध्यक्षेत्र विद्युत कंपनी ने महिला सशक्तीकरण के लिए निश्चय विद्युत मित्र योजना शुरू की है। योजना के तहत, ग्राम पंचायत स्तर पर महिला स्व-सहायता समूह निष्ठा विद्युत मित्र के रूप में काम करेंगे।
यह योजना कंपनी को राजस्व संग्रह बढ़ाने के साथ-साथ महिलाओं को अतिरिक्त कमाई भी देगी। यह योजना भोपाल, नर्मदापुरम, ग्वालियर और चंबल संभाग के सभी 16 जिलों की सभी ग्राम पंचायतों में कंपनी के अधिकार क्षेत्र में लागू की गई है।
जितेंद्र सिंह ने जम्मू-कश्मीर में देविका और पुंजा ब्रिज का उद्घाटन किया
केंद्रीय मंत्री जितेंद्र सिंह ने जम्मू और कश्मीर में क्रमशः उधमपुर और डोडा जिलों में दो पुलों देविका और पुंजा का उद्घाटन किया है। उधमपुर में देविका नदी पर बने पुल को सीमा सड़क संगठन ने पंद्रह महीने के भीतर पूरा कर लिया है। पुणेजा पुल का निर्माण भी 36 महीनों में सीमा सड़क संगठन (बीआरओ) द्वारा किया गया था।
10 मीटर लंबे देविका ब्रिज के निर्माण से क्षेत्र के यातायात संबंधी मुद्दों का समाधान होता है और इससे सेना के काफिले और वाहनों को आसानी से गुजरने में मदद मिलेगी। जबकि 50 मीटर लंबे पुणेजा पुल सामरिक दृष्टि से बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। यह पठानकोट (पंजाब) से कश्मीर घाटी के बगल में डोडा, किश्तवाड़ और रामबन जिलों के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण वैकल्पिक लिंक भी प्रदान करेगा, जो जम्मू और उधमपुर से लखनपुर के माध्यम से प्रवेश नहीं करता है।
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने “IN-SPACE” के गठन को मंजूरी दी
भारतीय राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष संवर्धन और प्राधिकरण केंद्र (IN-SPACe) निजी कंपनियों को भारतीय अंतरिक्ष बुनियादी ढांचे का उपयोग करने की अनुमति देकर एक स्तर का खेल मैदान प्रदान करेगा। यह अनुकूल नियामक वातावरण के साथ-साथ नीतियों को प्रोत्साहित करने के माध्यम से अंतरिक्ष गतिविधियों में निजी कंपनियों को बढ़ावा देने के साथ-साथ निजी कंपनियों को मार्गदर्शन देने के लिए हाथ से पकड़ भी देगा। भारतीय अंतरिक्ष क्षेत्र में ये सुधार भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (ISRO) को अनुसंधान और विकास गतिविधियों, नई प्रौद्योगिकियों, अन्वेषण मिशनों के साथ-साथ मानव अंतरिक्ष यान कार्यक्रम पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने की अनुमति देगा।
त्रिपुरा सरकार ने ‘एकटू खेलो एकटू पढो’ योजना की घोषणा की
त्रिपुरा सरकार ने ‘एकटू खेलो, एकटू पढो’ नाम की गतिविधि आधारित शिक्षा के लिए एक विशेष पहल की घोषणा की है। नई योजना को व्हाट्सएप या एसएमएस सेवाओं के माध्यम से हाथों पर सीखने की गतिविधियों और सरल परियोजनाओं, मजेदार गतिविधियों और गेम के संदेशों पर केंद्रित ऑडियो और वीडियो सामग्री को प्रसारित करके छात्रों को उलझाने के उद्देश्य से बनाया गया था। “नई योजना को अभिभावकों के स्मार्टफोन के माध्यम से एक्सेस किया जा सकता है। यदि कोई स्मार्टफोन उपलब्ध नहीं है, तो छात्रों को पढ़ाने के लिए एसएमएस सेवाओं का उपयोग किया जाएगा”।
माली ने एनटीपीसी को 500 मेगावाट की सौर पार्क परियोजना से सम्मानित किया
माली गणराज्य ने नेशनल थर्मल पावर कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (NTPC) को 500 मेगावाट (MW) सौर पार्क के विकास के लिए परियोजना प्रबंधन परामर्श अनुबंध से सम्मानित किया है।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन द्वारा आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में घोषणा की गई थी। इस आयोजन की अध्यक्षता अक्षय ऊर्जा मंत्री आरके सिंह ने की। इस कार्यक्रम में माली सेकौ कासे के राजदूत ने भाग लिया। इससे पहले, टोगो गणराज्य ने 285-मेगावाट सौर पार्क के विकास के लिए इसी तरह के समर्थन के लिए एनटीपीसी को लगाया था।
कैबिनेट ने कुशीनगर एयरपोर्ट को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा का दर्जा दिया
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने उत्तर प्रदेश के कुशीनगर हवाई अड्डे को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा का दर्जा दिया है। हवाई अड्डे की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्थिति घरेलू / अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पर्यटन और क्षेत्रों के आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा देने में समाप्त हो जाएगी। यह अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा के साथ सुलभ एक महत्वपूर्ण रणनीतिक स्थान होगा।
3 किमी लंबी रनवे स्ट्रिप पहले ही बन चुकी है। अब, एयरबस का एक विशाल विमान भी हवाई अड्डे पर उतर सकता है। कुशीनगर उत्तर प्रदेश के उत्तर-पूर्वी भाग में गोरखपुर से लगभग 50 किमी पूर्व में स्थित है और यह महत्वपूर्ण बौद्ध तीर्थ स्थलों में से एक है।
