India’s largest COVID-19 hospitals to be set up in Odisha
Odisha government has planned to set up two of the largest Covid-19 hospitals which will have a combined capacity of 1,000 beds and will be functional within a fortnight. With this, Odisha will be the first state in the country to set up such a large-scale hospital exclusively to treat Covid-19 patients. The state government signed two tripartite agreements with Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital to set up the state-level hospitals in Bhubaneswar for treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The state government is also planning to set up a Covid-19 testing laboratory at this hospital to ease the burden on the only other facility located at Bhubaneswar. The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) and the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) will provide the CSR fundings for the project.
Brahmakumaris chief Rajyogini Dadi Janki passes away
The chief of Brahmakumaris Sansthan, Rajyogini Dadi Janki passed away. She was the chief of world’s largest spiritual organisation run by women. She served society with diligence and worked towards the empowerment of women. The Government of India appointed her the brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for her works in the field of maintaining cleanliness.
Rajyogini Dadi Janki adopted the spiritual path when she was 21 years old. In 1970s, she established Indian philosophy, Raj Yoga and human values in the western countries. She also instituted ‘Seva Kendras’ in 140 countries around the world.
US launches advanced high frequency satellitefor military communication
The United Nations Space Force has launched an Advanced Extremely High-Frequency satellite (AEHF6) for its military communications. With the launch of the satellite, the United States has begun its first National Security Mission.
The Lock Heed Martin AEHF-6 (Advanced Extremely High Frequency) satellite was launched on the Atlas V551 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The satellite is to provide global protected communications. This will enhance tactical operating warfare skills of the US on ground, aerial and maritime platform.
World Theatre Day observed globally on 27 March
World Theatre Day is observed globally on 27th March every year. World Theatre Day was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI), France. It is celebrated annually on the 27th March by ITI Centres and the international theatre community. The first World Theatre Day Message was written by Jean Cocteau in 1962.
This day is a celebration for those who can see the value and importance of the art form “theatre”, and acts as a wake-up-call for governments, politicians and institutions which have not yet recognised its value to the people and to the individual and have not yet realised its potential for economic growth.
Indore deploy drones to sanitize city against COVID-19 scare
India’s cleanest city, Indore has deployed drones to sanitize city areas against the coronavirus scare. Indore becomes the 1st city in India to use drones to sanitize the city. The Indore Municipal Corporation has hired two drones for that purpose.
It is a first-of-its-kind attempt by which crowded areas are sanitizing with the help of drones. Vegetables markets and streets of the Indore are being sprayed with sodium hypochlorite and bio-clean. These drones take off with 16 litres of chemicals in each flight and return after 30 minutes having sprayed chemicals in an area spanning 810km. Special care is also being taken to ensure that the spray does not harm citizens.
DST sets up COVID-19 task force for mapping of technologies
Department of Science and Technology (DST) has set up a COVID-19 Task Force for mapping of technologies from Research and Development labs, academic institutions, start-ups and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The Department of Science & Technology plays a pivotal role in the promotion of science & technology in the country.
It aims to fund nearly market-ready solutions in the area of diagnostics, testing, health care delivery solutions, equipment supplies. These solutions include masks and other protective gear, sanitizers, affordable kits for screening, ventilators and oxygenators among others. The Task Force is to identify the most promising start-ups that are close to scale up, who may need financial or other help or connects or projected demand to rapidly scale up.
RBI’s 7th Bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement for 2019-20
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decided to advance the Bi-monthly Monetary Policy meet which was scheduled to be held on 31st March 2020 and the announcement was meant to be made on 3rd April. The meeting was advanced to 24th, 26th and 27th March 2020. During the seventh Bi-monthly Monetary Policy meet, the MPC analysed the current & evolving macroeconomic and financial conditions and has decided to take a accommodative stance and hence reduced the policy repo rate to revive growth as well as to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. With its decisions, MPC aims to keep inflation within the target and hence to preserve financial stability.
The repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) has been reduced by 75 basis points from 5.15% to 4.40%. The reverse repo rate under the LAF has been reduced by 90 basis points from 4.90% to 4.00%. The marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate have been reduced from 5.40% to 4.65%.
CII sets up “CII COVID Rehabilitation and Relief Fund”
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has set up a CII COVID Rehabilitation and Relief Fund (CRR) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to tackle Covid19. The CII COVID Rehabilitation and Relief Fund (CRR) will assist small enterprises or MSME in rehabilitation. The setting up of Relief Fund is expected to curtail the impact of Coronavirus on the MSME sector.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will also request to all its members to contribute an amount from their Corporate social responsibility (CSR) allocation for the CIL COVID Rehabilitation and Relief Fund (CRR).

भारत का सबसे बड़ा COVID-19 अस्पताल ओडिशा में बनेगा
ओडिशा सरकार ने सबसे बड़े कोवीड-19 अस्पतालों में से दो की स्थापना की योजना बनाई है, जिसमें 1,000 बेड की संयुक्त क्षमता होगी और एक पखवाड़े के भीतर कार्यात्मक होगा। इसके साथ, ओडिशा देश का पहला राज्य होगा जो कोवीड-19 रोगियों के इलाज के लिए विशेष रूप से इतने बड़े पैमाने पर अस्पताल स्थापित करेगा। राज्य सरकार ने कोवीड-19 रोगियों के इलाज के लिए भुवनेश्वर में राज्य स्तर के अस्पतालों की स्थापना के लिए कलिंगा इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज और एसयूएम अस्पताल के साथ दो त्रिपक्षीय समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
राज्य सरकार भुवनेश्वर में स्थित एकमात्र प्रयोगशाला पर बोझ को कम करने के लिए इस अस्पताल में एक कोवीड -19 परीक्षण प्रयोगशाला स्थापित करने की भी योजना बना रही है। ओडिशा माइनिंग कॉर्पोरेशन (ओएमसी) और महानदी कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (एमसीएल) परियोजना के लिए सीएसआर के तहत फंडिंग प्रदान करेगा।
ब्रह्माकुमारियों की प्रमुख राजयोगिनी दादी जानकी का निधन

अमेरिका ने सैन्य संचार के लिए उन्नत उच्च आवृत्ति वाले उपग्रह शुरू किया
संयुक्त राज्य अंतरिक्ष बल ने अपने सैन्य संचार के लिए एक उन्नत अति उच्च आवृत्ति उपग्रह (AEHF6) लॉन्च किया है। उपग्रह के प्रक्षेपण के साथ, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका ने अपना पहला राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा मिशन शुरू किया है।

विश्व रंगमंच दिवस 27 मार्च को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया गया
हर साल 27 मार्च को विश्व रंगमंच दिवस विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। वर्ल्ड थिएटर डे की शुरुआत 1961 में इंटरनेशनल थिएटर इंस्टीट्यूट (ITI), फ्रांस द्वारा की गई थी। यह आईटीआई केंद्रों और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय थिएटर समुदाय द्वारा 27 मार्च को प्रतिवर्ष मनाया जाता है। पहला विश्व रंगमंच दिवस संदेश जीन कोक्ट्यू द्वारा 1962 में लिखा गया था।
यह दिन उन लोगों के लिए एक उत्सव है जो कला रूप “थिएटर” के मूल्य और महत्व को देख सकते हैं, और सरकारों, राजनेताओं और संस्थानों के लिए जागने का कार्य करते हैं जिन्होंने अभी तक लोगों के लिए और इसके मूल्य को मान्यता नहीं दी है। व्यक्तिगत और अभी तक आर्थिक विकास के लिए अपनी क्षमता का एहसास नहीं हुआ है।
इंदौर ने COVID-19 के खिलाफ शहर को साफ करने के लिए ड्रोन तैनात किए
भारत के सबसे स्वच्छ शहर, इंदौर ने कोरोनवायरस वायरस के खिलाफ शहर के क्षेत्रों को साफ करने के लिए ड्रोन तैनात किए हैं। इंदौर शहर को पवित्र करने के लिए ड्रोन का उपयोग करने वाला भारत का पहला शहर बन गया। इंदौर नगर निगम ने उस उद्देश्य के लिए दो ड्रोन किराए पर लिए हैं।
यह अपनी तरह का पहला प्रयास है जिसके द्वारा भीड़-भाड़ वाले इलाके ड्रोन की मदद से साफ हो रहे हैं। इंदौर के सब्जियों के बाजारों और सड़कों पर सोडियम हाइपोक्लोराइट और बायो-क्लीन का छिड़काव किया जा रहा है। ये ड्रोन प्रत्येक उड़ान में 16 लीटर रसायनों के साथ उड़ान भरते हैं और 810 किमी तक फैले क्षेत्र में रसायनों के छिड़काव के 30 मिनट बाद लौटते हैं। यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए विशेष ध्यान रखा जा रहा है कि स्प्रे नागरिकों को नुकसान न पहुंचाए।
DST ने प्रौद्योगिकियों के मानचित्रण के लिए COVID-19 टास्क फोर्स की स्थापना की
विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग (DST) ने अनुसंधान और विकास प्रयोगशालाओं, शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, स्टार्ट-अप्स और सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों की प्रौद्योगिकियों के मानचित्रण के लिए एक COVID-19 टास्क फोर्स की स्थापना की है। विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग देश में विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी के प्रचार में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है।
इसका उद्देश्य निदान, परीक्षण, स्वास्थ्य देखभाल वितरण समाधान, उपकरण आपूर्ति के क्षेत्र में लगभग बाजार तैयार समाधानों को निधि देना है। इन समाधानों में मास्क और अन्य सुरक्षात्मक गियर, सैनिटाइज़र, स्क्रीनिंग के लिए सस्ती किट, वेंटिलेटर और अन्य लोगों के लिए ऑक्सीजनेटर शामिल हैं। टास्क फोर्स सबसे होनहार स्टार्ट-अप्स की पहचान करना है जो बड़े पैमाने पर करीब हैं, जिन्हें वित्तीय या अन्य मदद की आवश्यकता हो सकती है या तेजी से बड़े पैमाने पर मांग को जोड़ने या अनुमानित करने की आवश्यकता है।
2019-20 के लिए RBI की 7 वीं द्वि-मासिक मौद्रिक नीति
COVID-19 महामारी के मद्देनजर, भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक की मौद्रिक नीति समिति (MPC) ने 31 मार्च 2020 को होने वाली द्वि-मासिक मौद्रिक नीति को आगे बढ़ाने का फैसला किया और घोषणा 3 अप्रैल को की जानी थी। यह बैठक 24, 26 और 27 मार्च, 2020 तक उन्नत रही। सातवीं द्वि-मासिक मौद्रिक नीति की बैठक के दौरान, एमपीसी ने वर्तमान और विकसित व्यापक आर्थिक और वित्तीय स्थितियों का विश्लेषण किया और एक निवारक रुख अपनाने का फैसला किया है और इसलिए नीतिगत रेपो दर को कम कर दिया है। विकास को पुनर्जीवित करने के साथ-साथ COVID-19 के प्रभाव को कम करना। अपने निर्णयों के साथ, एमपीसी का लक्ष्य मुद्रास्फीति को लक्ष्य के भीतर रखना है और इसलिए वित्तीय स्थिरता को बनाए रखना है।
चलनिधि समायोजन सुविधा (एलएएफ) के तहत रेपो दर को 75 आधार अंकों से घटाकर 5.15% से 4.40% कर दिया गया है। एलएएफ के तहत रिवर्स रेपो दर को 90 आधार अंकों से घटाकर 4.90% से 4.00% कर दिया गया है। सीमांत स्थायी सुविधा (MSF) दर और बैंक दर को 5.40% से घटाकर 4.65% कर दिया गया है।
CII ने “CII COVID पुनर्वास और राहत कोष” बनाया
भारतीय उद्योग परिसंघ (CII) ने Covid-19 से निपटने के लिए सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (MSME) के लिए CII COVID पुनर्वास और राहत कोष (CRR) की स्थापना की है। CII COVID पुनर्वास और राहत कोष (CRR) पुनर्वास में छोटे उद्यमों या MSME की सहायता करेगा। राहत कोष की स्थापना से एमएसएमई क्षेत्र पर कोरोनावायरस के प्रभाव को कम करने की उम्मीद है।
भारतीय उद्योग परिसंघ (CII) अपने सभी सदस्यों से CIL COVID पुनर्वास और राहत कोष (CRR) के लिए अपने कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक दायित्व (CSR) आवंटन से एक राशि का योगदान करने का भी अनुरोध करेगा।
