  1. LCA Tejas Successfully Fired Air to Air BVR Missile

Indigenously developed light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas have successfully fired and air to air beyond visual range (BVR) missile. With this, Tejas has demonstrated its capability as an effective compact jacked and injured closer to receive final operational clearance.

 

  1. PM Modi China Visit : Important Highlights

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in New Delhi after today informal summit meeting with Chinese President. Prime Minister was received at the airport by external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, earlier Prime Minister Modi wrapped up his 2 day visit to China with both the countries underlining the importance of maintaining peace and tranquility in all areas of their boundary region in the larger interest of overall development of bilateral relation.

 

  1. Sikkim Chief Minister become India’s longest serving CM

Mr Pawan chamling ,Chief Minister of Sikkim became the longest serving Chief Minister in India surpassing the record of Jyoti Basu who served at as West Bengal CM from 1977 to 2000.Chamling become the chief minister in December 1994 and belongs to Sikkim Democratic Front party.

 

  1. Saina Nehwal who had bagged Women’s Single gold medal at Commonwealth Games 2018 earlier this month , won bronze at the badminton Asian Championship .

 

  1. Jammu and Kashmir deputy CM Nirmal Singh resigned day before cabinet reshuffle

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Nirmal Singh has resigned from his post a day ahead of the cabinet reshuffle; this comes weeks after two BJP Minister resigned over a controversy for participating in a rally to support the accused in the rape and murder of an eight year old kathua girl.

 

  1. India and Pakistan will take part in a country terror military exercise alongside member nations of the Shanghai cooperation Organisation in Russia’s ural mountain in September. This will be the first time Since Independence that the two Nations will together participate in a military exercise.

India is also likely to resume military exercise with China that was suspended post doklam standoff.
