Exam: – UPSC Indian Economic Services (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Exam, 2017

Total Vacancies: – 46

Name of Posts:-

(i)        Indian Economic Services (IES)/ – 14

(ii)       Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Services – 32

Age Criteria: – A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the  age  of  30  years  on  1^st August,  2018  i.e  he/she  must  have  been  born  not  earlier  than  2^nd  August, 1988 and not later than 1^st August, 1997.

Minimum Educational Qualification: –

(i).       A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics

(ii).      A candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics

Selection Process: – Indian Economic Services (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination comprises of two stages:

1. Written Examination
2. Personality Test

Application Fee: – Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI Candidates or by using Visa/MasterCard Credit/Debit card.
