SSC STENOGRAPHER Exam Eligibility Details: – Eligibility details that are needed to be apply for Staff Selection Committee (SSC) Stenographer are given below:-
Nationality/ Citizenship:-
A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age limit: – Candidates age should be between 18-27 years as on 01-08-20-17
Permissible relaxation of Upper age limit is as:-

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Must have passed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
The candidates who are able to prove by documentary evidence that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cutoff date and he/she has been declared passed, will also be considered to have the required Educational Qualification.
Note: – As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification No. 44 dated 01-03-1995 published in Gazette of India edition dated 10-06-2015, the Degree obtained through open Universities.” Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council: IGNOU. Accordingly, unless such Degrees had been recognized tor the period when the candidates acquired the relevant qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.
